I was going to watch Endeavour, which I've recorded. Not really light-hearted though.

I hope it doesn't leave you unsettled, if I watch anything scary I have to put on a comedy after. The programme doesn't frighten me but the nightmares afterwards do lol I'm going to turn in yogi, the duvet is beckoning me Sweetest of dreams

It's okay Summer, The Village is not scary, it just puts you through the emotional wringer, and Endeavour is pretty gentle for a police drama. i'll be fine.

I need to go find some curtains and lampshades for the hall today. It may take some time, as I don't know what I want, until I see it (if you know what I mean?).

Patchy cloud here but dry, another windy day.

 

I haven't been watching The Village but it's a drama about life in a Derbyshire village over 100 years starting in 1914 with the outbreak of the first workd war. Life is hard unless you are wealthy and live in the manor house. The young men are called up but will they come back and if they do what state will they be in. No NHS, no health and safety laws. That's why it's harrowing.

 

I record and watch Endeavour. Hopefully, more series will be made.

My back is feeling better!  Amazing how you suddenly turn the corner.

 

I am the opposite Yogi, I know exactly what I want, I can see it in my mind's eye but then when I try to find it it's very frustrating, I am sure your way is the better way.

 

Hope the weather is fine where you all are and that you can get the roof sealed today Yogi.  Enjoy those cuddles, they are special.

Summer, yes, my brother is visiting for the weekend - arrives Friday afternoon and returns Monday afternoon (Monday being a bank holiday so he's off work)

Squiggle, my brother will be bringing the cakes so as it's not a birthday or Christmas/Easter I think they are likely to be of the Kiplings type.

In terms of games, wel'll continue to play Critters Chronicles which is a bit of an odd adventure game. I've got a few more adventure games to play once we've finished that but I don't think there's any really outstanding ones. The one we are waiting for is Broken Sword 5 expected sometime in the latter part of the year.

Did someone mention cake?

 

Won't be going shopping until noon, as a neighbour has asked me to accept delivery of a parcel between 11am and noon. She's a good friend as well as a neighbour, so I don't mind.

That's kind of you. I hope the parcel gets delivered on time.

I'm fine, thanks. Although my day didn't get off to a great start. Mr Yogi woke me at 6.50am to say he didn't have a shirt ironed for work. I tend to iron five or six shirts at a time, and thought I had done enough for Monday too, but I miscalculated. Maths never was my strong point!

Parcel has arrived, so I can go on a hunt for curtains now.

As my local Co-op stocks cakes made by Emma's Country Cakes which is based in Gloucestershire I've just bought some of their Bara Brith cake to see what it is like. They are not that far away from the Welsh border

El, you are quite right, Mr Yogi's ironing lessons are long overdue.

 

No luck on my curtain hunt. My choice of paint colour is proving hard to match.

On a positive note, we chose the carpet tonight and got a bargain.

 *sends Mr Yogi a book on how to iron shirts and how not to wake your lovely laydee in the very early hours of the morning* 

 I'll belt him with it make sure he reads it.
