Lovely donkey, El.
Back from the hairdresser. *twirls*
I'm happy with the result, she cut it exactly as I asked.
Summer, you can do a jump with your twirl, as long as I don't have to.
Hi Moonie, how did you get on with the workmen, is your door fixed?
Hiya Yogi
Nice hairdo
The lock was fixed less than 6 hours after I reported it. I was on emergency though but usually emergencies take several weeks with our council
Nevertheless I was though

Yep, I am
I'm hungry but trying to avoid having dinner for a while (diets are torture), so I am drinking a beef oxo.

Awww
Just think of the results of your abstentions to come though Yogi
Just mentioned on the radio:
It's not often I see Cerys Matthews with the Daleks
It's to do with the Proms this year. Cerys Matthews, Laura Marling and The Stranglers will be in a concert for Radio 6 and the Daleks will be in a Doctor Who prom though I doubt if they will be singing.

I need to find a pic from my slim days and stick it on the fridge.

You want to hope the Daleks aren't singing!

Apparently that helps a lot of people with their diets Yogi
I am glad the hairdresser cut your hair just right Yogi. You can do it (dietwise) drinking beef oxo is a good idea, as is eating an apple - fills your tum and only 40 calories.
Lovely donkey Velvet, I like donkeys.

The Sony World Photography Awards for 2013 have been announced and you can see some of the winning photographs on this BBC page:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/in-pictures-22307261
The first two are by Andrea Gjestvang who won the top prize for her series of photographs called One Day in History. Although I think you may like the first photograph a lot, there is a real sadness in the photograph. The series of photographs is taken of people who survived the appalling massacre on the island in Norway in July 2011.
The third photograph is the winner of the Open competition. Hoang Hiep Nguyen is a 21 year amateur who has only been photographing for a year. If you recognise the photograph it is because it's the one I posted here some time ago as I thought it was amazing.
Some brilliant pics in that link, El.
I recognised the pic with the girl in the storm, and loved the one of the Matterhorn.
Great thread and great peeps reinforced.
Some nice donkey anecdotes there Squiggs and El
Hope we're all well and we have a nice evening
Evening Velvet, always good to see you in here.
It's a haven of love and sanity Yogi
And we all need that

We surely do.

Very true Velvet
Great pictures EL.
Evening squiggs
Evening Velvet, how is life treating you?
I'm okay thanks squiggs.
Certainly ain't got much to complain about.
It's a rollercoaster isn't it?
Hope you are too lovely one
I'm getting there Velvet
I've had a nice bath, got my PJs on and am heading to bed.
Sweet dreams everyone, see you tomorrow.
Hugs for our night owls.
Good morning everyone. The sun is shining, atm.
Yum, I can tuck in, as virtual pancakes are calorie-free! Thank you, Summer.
Keira's tummy upset seems to have settled down, thank goodness.
Have a good day, everyone.
Good morning everyone
Happy 4th birthday anniversary
At present here there's blue sky to the west and threatening clouds to the east so although it's forecast to be dry today there could be rain.
Summer, I see you've been busy pancaking
Yogi, I'm glad Keira is better
Good morning everyone, happy anniversary! Wow that's a lot of pancakes Another lovely morning but still chilly.
Hope you slept well Summer I am pleased that Keira's tummy has settled down now Yogi, it must be upsetting for her.
Enjoy your day, whatever you are up to.
She's much better today. I had intended to starve her for 24 hours but she was starving by 7pm last night and was wearing her most irresistible pleading face, so I boiled some rice and added a tiny bit of chicken for her. She has had a big bowl of porridge this morning and, so far, all is well.
She has always had a weak digestive system.
Atm, she can see the sun shining through the windows and is nagging to go into the garden to sunbathe. I have a tanorexic dog!
Hi all x
Flying visit for now, hope to be back later. Have a good day. The sun is shining here
Yogi, where I live one of the neighbours has a tanorexic cat who when it's warm and sunny tends to lie on top of my car
I'm glad Keira's better
Here, the threatening clouds seem to have gone away so it's quite a pleasant day though not particularly warm out there.
When I went to M&S I had a look at the "Fragrant White Chicken Korma" which won the Food Glorious Food competition a few days ago.
I didn't get it as it was a bit too large for one helping for me but it is not your typical korma. A Korma curry is generally regarded as the mildest of curries but this one has a 3 chilli sign on it showing that it is a lot spicier than normal.
It's a limited edition but you will be able to make your own as a book of the recipes in the series is be available.
Hi all x
Hope Keira is well Yogi x
Hope everyone well too. I have had a nice family day. The weather has been very good, nice and sunny, Still a chill in the air tho.
Watched Pointless Celebs when making the tea. Penny Smith was one of them...can one woman be so annoying... Dreadful show-off too
