It's not often I see Cerys Matthews with the Daleks

It's to do with the Proms this year. Cerys Matthews, Laura Marling and The Stranglers will be in a concert for Radio 6 and the Daleks will be in a Doctor Who prom though I doubt if they will be singing.

I need to find a pic from my slim days and stick it on the fridge.

 You want to hope the Daleks aren't singing!

I am glad the hairdresser cut your hair just right Yogi.  You can do it (dietwise) drinking beef oxo is a good idea, as is eating an apple - fills your tum and only 40 calories.

The Sony World Photography Awards for 2013 have been announced and you can see some of the winning photographs on this BBC page:

The first two are by Andrea Gjestvang who won the top prize for her series of photographs called One Day in History. Although I think you may like the first photograph a lot, there is a real sadness in the photograph. The series of photographs is taken of people who survived the appalling massacre on the island in Norway in July 2011.

 

The third photograph is the winner of the Open competition. Hoang Hiep Nguyen is a 21 year amateur who has only been photographing for a year. If you recognise the photograph it is because it's the one I posted here some time ago as I thought it was amazing.

Oh yogi I totally forgot to ask how Keira is I read it yesterday and got busy before I could reply! Is she eating?

She's much better today. I had intended to starve her for 24 hours but she was starving by 7pm last night and was wearing her most irresistible pleading face, so I boiled some rice and added a tiny bit of chicken for her. She has had a big bowl of porridge this morning and, so far, all is well.

She has always had a weak digestive system.

Atm, she can see the sun shining through the windows and is nagging to go into the garden to sunbathe. I have a tanorexic dog!

Here, the threatening clouds seem to have gone away so it's quite a pleasant day though not particularly warm out there.

 

When I went to M&S I had a look at the "Fragrant White Chicken Korma" which won the Food Glorious Food competition a few days ago.

I didn't get it as it was a bit too large for one helping for me but it is not your typical korma. A Korma curry is generally regarded as the mildest of curries but this one has a 3 chilli sign on it showing that it is a lot spicier than normal.

 

It's a limited edition but you will be able to make your own as a book of the recipes in the series is be available.

I'm pleased Keira is on the mend, you must know her very well yogi I hope she's back to her normal self today Hi skylark hope your whole day is sunny El, I love curry, but not the creamy ones so I won't be trying that korma. I dare say it's absolutely delicious though I've got m&s Chinese goodies (and wine) for tea tonight
