Good morning everyone
Quite cloudy here but dry.
I'll be going out shortly to visit that client out in the middle of nowhere so won't be back until mid afternoon.

Good morning everyone, I'm a bit back to robot again this morning, I think I must have slept in an awkward position, although I did sleep well thanks Summer. Anyway I have taken painkillers and will persevere with it.
Naughty Bramble giving you such a scare, I'm glad she came back safe. Good luck with your client EL, is it a nice drive? And I hope you don't see any of those nasty flies.
How did the herb planting go Yogi, we need a long term weather forecast to tell us that glorious warm dry weather is just around the corner don't we? I wonder what the chances are.
Good morning everyone. The morning started off quite bright but it is raining atm.
Big hug for Robot Squiggle. Do you have anything you can take for the pain - I know it's difficult when you can't tolerate strong painkillers?
Good luck with the client visit, El. Is this the right time for the pesky flies? If so, I hope you have remembered to don your protective gear.
Herb planting went well, I planted dill and coriander. Don't know why I have planted coriander, as I'm not too keen on it.
I am prescribed paracetamol by the doctor so I just take that Yogi, it's gentle on the tum.
I'll get there Summer, I have the heated throw behind me, it throws out a lot of heat and doesn't need to keep being topped up like a hot water bottle. It's awful about the cold weather, I've never known a cold April like it.
I'm back from the client. Uneventful drive which is what I want and I didn't see any of those flies. Although this is the time of the year when they are at their most active, the chances are that the protracted cold spell which have delayed them.
Squiggle, shame about your back. I hope it eases over the next couple of days
If any of you are able to block a phone number block this one:
02922229999
While I was out they rang, didn't leave a message so I did a search. Supposedly an energy survey though looks likely to be a scam.
The search shows that once they start ringing you they will ring over and over again quite possibly 20 times a day. It seems that if you start talking with the caller, one of them will start non stop swearing at you. This makes it lamost certain that this is a scam as no reputable company would employ such a tactic.
BT advise people who get called by this number to say nothing, just put the phone to one side ignoring what is said. Eventually the line will go dead.
Although the number looks British, it probable isn't coming from this country.
I am prescribed paracetamol by the doctor so I just take that Yogi, it's gentle on the tum.
Paracetamol are the only painkillers I can tolerate, too.
The heated throw sounds good, I hope it is helping to ease the pain a little bit.
Summer, it was quite bright when I got up but now it's cold, wet and windy.
I had a couple of Redpolls in my garden yesterday, and following on from the goldfinches' visit, I thought Spring might have been on its way. Not looking good atm.
I'll keep a look out for that number and do as advised, El. I'm with Virgin and can't block numbers, but I do have caller ID so I will know if it is the scammers calling.
Glad you didn't encounter the flies on your visit.
Hi all
Thanks for the advice on the number El I tend not to block numbers for various reasons but will keep an eye on that one.
Sorry you did yourself an injury squiggle, and hope you well soon x
Lovely avi of Bramble, Summer!
Was a nice morning, weather wise, but now dark clouds looming over. Hard to think its nearly May!
Oddly enough Skylark, after a nice morning there are now dark clouds overhead here and I'm over 300 miles away from you.
Brilliant!
I got my newsletter from the RSPB today and they are asking when you last saw a turtle dove. The only turtle doves I've seen were tree ornaments in the film Home Alone 2. Somehow, I don't think they'd be interested in that sighting.

I hadn't considered extra birthdays!
Hopefully, the weather will change soon.

El, the sun is shining here now
On the lunchtime BBC news they had an item about a Gloster Meteor plane about to be lifted this afternoon from Innsworth by a Chinook helicopter and taken to its new home at Gloucester airport.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-e...cestershire-22244953
The news item said that if the helicopter got into difficulty it would have to drop the plane.
It's at RAF Innsworth which is a couple of miles away. The route it will take does not go over my house - it does in the opposite direction and most of the journey is over fields though there are a few houses underneath on the way. I hope the people there don't get too close a view of the plane.
I don't know if the journey will go ahead today as it is windy but if you watch the BBC news this evening it may show the plane being lifted.
The Gloster Meteor was the first jet engine powered plane and was built at Gloster Aircraft Company on the outskirts of Gloucester at Brockworth. The buildings there are long demolished.
Oddly enough Skylark, after a nice morning there are now dark clouds overhead here and I'm over 300 miles away from you.

No such luck here though I may see some sun tomorrow.
I got mine from Amazon but I just looked and it is out of stock. Mine was a Homefront one, it looks very similar to this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dreaml...eywords=heated+throw but the difference is the price, I paid half of that. I loved the story about the waxwing in the tree silly devil
I've never seen a turtle dove, we usually get big fat wood pigeons although there were some more delicate collared pigeons down the lane.
Thank you Skylark nice to have you back in the thread again.
The Gloster Meteor plane was successfully transported this afternoon. The link above (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-e...cestershire-22244953) has been changed to show a video clip of this.

I saw that on our local news programme and I wondered whether you might have seen it (probably not likely as it only travelled 2 miles).

I saw it on BBC news,
Steak! Lucky Mr Summer. How did you cook it, Summer? *drools*
I'm still sticking to my diet and lost four pounds in my first week.
Well done Yogi, good going
Well done Yogi, good going
Thanks Squiggle. I can't pretend it's easy - the weight seems harder to shift now I'm older more mature.
Just popped in to say goodnight x
Check your Pm.s Summer x
Sweet dreams all
Goodnight Skylark, sweet dreams to you too.
That steak sounds absolutely delicious!
I'm coping with the hunger pangs, I just need to add more variety to my menus, so that boredom doesn't kick in.
I'm not the least bit jealous of your walnut whips.
They used to make coffee ones, those were my favourites.
Chicken with stir-fry veg and bean sprouts for dinner, but not sure what to have for lunch - maybe some ryvita with tuna.
