The indoor plants are okay, but they are ready to go outdoors - weather permitting! Mr Yogi has started asking how much longer they will have to stay in the hall, I think he is sick of the sight of them.
Good morning everyone, I haven't been outside yet but, dare I say it, it looks an absolutely beautiful Spring morning out there
Summer I had my fortnightly House Group meeting yesterday so I wasn't able to pop in. I read about your pranks though you and Yogi are very naughty girls
EL I am so pleased you liked Up! I will probably watch it every year, there are not many films that make you laugh and cry, I did both at the same time watching it.
That new puppy has grown twice the size in a fortnight I swear, although tbh he was just a little ball of fluff last time and so he's just a slightly bigger ball of fluff now. He is so cute and his owner has had an offer to buy him already, offering ÂĢ50 more than she paid but she told them he is not for sale.
Summer & squiggle, I found the opening scenes of Up! quite moving in particular and had a quiet poetic quality rarely seen in modern American films.

I agree, they had such a little dream didn't they? And I loved Ellie, that part of the film especially I found very touching.

The puppy sounds gorgeous, Squiggle. I have puppy envy.
That's a nice thought, El.
That's a nice thought, El.
I agree, and thoughts are with those who died in the explosion and fire in Texas too.

It's been an awful few days for Americans.
I think we just hear about the rotten stuff more now, Summer.
When things like this happen, I try to remind myself that there are far more good people in the world, than bad ones.
It was bright here today too - and I didn't do the weeding!
Very true about the weeds. Anyway, they say a weed is simply a flower which is growing in the wrong place.
There is indeed a lot of beauty in the world.
Keira has had a quiet day, apart from her walks. I need to get her booked into the groomers, she's looking a bit unkempt.
My battery is almost flat, so I'll need to sign out soon. If I disappear suddenly, you'll know it has died on me.
Have you checked your PMs?
Over three hours to get her done. I think she tolerates it, rather than enjoys it. The end result is, she looks good - not sure she appreciates that!
Got to go now, goodnight Summer, sweet dreams.
Noite Yogi
Good morning everyone
Sunny morning here with no wind makes for a pleasant spring day
Good news from Boston with the suspect being taken into custody and with him being taken alive means the authorities can find out why the brothers did what they did.
Good morning everyone, we have a frost here it's getting silly now, it'll be May in just over a week!
Yes we certainly have to remember that this world is full of lovely kind people that never make the news.
Good morning everyone. Weather is bright and sunny.
I love the golden owl, Summer.
Squiggle, all of the gardening experts say we are between 5 and 6 weeks behind this year, due to the very cold Spring we're having. Last year, my veg bed was planted up by the end of March, and this year, everything is still in pots and in my hall!
I'm glad they have managed to arrest the second young man who is (allegedly) involved in the Boston bombing. It must be a relief for everyone in the area, and perhaps now they will find out whatever spurred them on to do such an horrific thing.
Yogi, I can believe it when the gardening experts say that we are 5 to 6 weeks behind. Although some of the trees locally have small young leaves, other trees are still bare. And my forysthia has only in the last week really blossomed.
Summer, I hope the brother survives and is held accountable as well. Assuming he does, is tried and is found guilty, I don't think he's likely to ever get his wish which was to become a brain surgeon. He presumably would get a life sentence as the death penalty in Massachusetts were declared unconstitutional in 1984. Although the law in still on their statute books, it is dormant and attempts to bring it back a few years ago were defeated.
Cheltenham Town won their match today 1-0. There's one match left of the main season next Saturday. It's possible, though realistically unlikely, that they could get the 3rd place and automatic promotion. They are guaranteed to be in the play offs for the 4th promotion place. They are at home to Bradford next Saturday. It is quite possible that Cheltenham will be 4th and Bradford 7th (their present positions) which means that the first part of the play off matches would see Cheltenham playing Bradford away, then at home so could play them 3 successive matches.

It's the same up here, El. Trees which have normally shed their blossom weeks ago, are only starting to bloom now.
Good luck to Cheltenham if they end up in the play-offs.
This afternoon, I saw my first goldfinches of this year. I have cleaned out the niger feeder and it is ready to be refilled tomorrow. Hopefully they will return regularly during the summer.
I see on the BBC website that Patrick Garland has died. He was a theatre producer but also directed some television films, the best known being The Snow Goose (1971) from the story by Paul Gallico. It starred Richard Harris and Jenny Agutter.
If you want you can watch it on Youtube - it's in 5 10 minute clips.

He was married to Alexandra Bastedo (from The Champions series).

I don't know of him El, but I do remember his wife from The Champions - she is very beautiful.

Amazing! Thanks for sharing that EL.
I watched the video, and it's brilliant, El. Thank you for posting it.
Toddling off to bed.
I hope you've had a good evening, Summer, leaving you a hug.
Good morning everyone
Hazy sunshine here at present but forecast to cloud over with rain later in the day.
Summer, I'm not surprised Mr Summer is hurting after a 26 mile walk. Some years ago when I did a similar length walk with a friend I came down with cramp and it wasn't nice.
Good morning everyone. It is raining today.
Wow, Mr Summer walked a marathon yesterday, no wonder he aches today! I ache after walking 2.6 miles.
I'm thinking of planting some more herbs today. I can do it in the greenhouse, so won't be bothered by the rain. The basil and chives I planted last week have started to germinate but there's no sign of life with the parsley, as yet.
Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing.
