They've just come to jumpstart the car. It is the battery which is dead. It's the original battery so is about 10 years old.

The mechanic asked me if I wanted them to take the car and replace the battery and check it's fully charged. After much consideration lasting about 0.1 seconds I said yes

They'll ring me later to let me know.

Just an update on that strange workaround I discovered for Broken Sword 2. I had been in touch with Mastertronic who have been distributing it to see if they could find an answer. They hadn't but I let them know what I had discovered. Today I got a thank for from them. They were quite surprised with my workaround as A) why it works, and B) how I had managed to discover it. They will build that into their database of tips so that if anyone else has a similar problem they can give them my solution.

thanks yogi, hope you have a lovely bath and a good sleep I've been food shopping and had my hair done tonight, that grey one is now hidden Good news about your car el, that's a fair price I think. Mr summer's car has been repaired and passed it's MOT it was ÂĢ200, but needed brake something's as well as the hand break cable, and had a service done. Another fair price I think Squiggle, I've got that Millie Johnson ebook, but I can't read it yet because I've not read white wedding, the description advised it be read first! I also see a couple of characters pop up in another book sometimes too, I like that

Good morning everyone

Cloudy and cold here today. Temperatures are forecast to get back to normal early next week and spring will finally arrive.

Summer, good news about Mr Summer's car - cost seems quite reasonable.

Endeavour is scheduled to return to ITV for Sunday the 14th at 8pm in the first of a 4 part series.

I watched the second episode of Foyle's War and thought it was better than the first episode which had seemed a bit disjointed. Nice to see Rupert Vansittart (Lord Ashfordly in Heartbeat) in it. He's in next week's as well so if more series are made could be a regular. I prefer him to Arthur Valentine (Tim McMullan), the one with the eyebrows.

Good morning everyone. Weather is dry and milder than recent days.

Glad Mr Summer's car passed it's MOT, and the price sounds fair. I'm sure your hair looks lovely now that your single grey hair has disappeared.

El, I'm looking forward to the new series of Endeavour.

I have recorded the second episode of Foyle's War. I agree with you about the first episode, it didn't "flow" as well as I expected.

I have to go grocery shopping and may go out and about with hubby, who is on leave for a few days.

Have a good day everyone, see you later.

Good morning everyone, the wind has increased overnight and it's much colder today, disappointing.  EL I do hope you're right about the forecast getting better, we sure could do with it.

I will have to look on my shelves Summer, I am glad you mentioned that, I am pretty sure I have White Wedding.  Good news about Mr. Summer's car, not too bad a price, do you have it serviced at the same time?  I always do and so the bill usually comes to more than that, but then it gives me peace of mind that all is well. Good news about the grey hair being banished - I have battalions of them but I'm still battling away

I hope you enjoy your time with Mr Yogi, do you think it might include a garden centre Yogi?

No pranks, but I did wind him up by telling him I still had half my Easter Egg stashed away. He nagged and pleaded a lot, so I eventually gave it to him.

What pranks did you get up to?

Yogi, thanks for the cake offer but I'm only part way through that chocolate best cake I bought for Easter so I better decline

The cake is nice enough but the thin strips of hard chocolate used to make the nest make it rather messy to cut with bits going all over the place.

Here, the wind has picked up since morning making it sub zero out there. I'm glad I did my local shopping this morning rather than this afternoon.

 Hallway sounds good.

Keira is fine, she's had Harvey's company for a couple of days so she's quite happy. DiL will soon be off on maternity leave so he won't be staying over for a while - although he will still come up on visits.

How exciting to have a drawing of Bramble, I really admire people who can draw.

Those cakes sound delicious Yogi.

At our meeting today they had a new puppy.  Aww doesn't even get close, it is the cutest little thing, a cross Shih Tzu Chow Chow, 10 weeks old and they are taking it to a puppy party tonight at the vets.  He is called Teddy and he looks very like this

No problem, El. Your cake sounds tasty although messy to eat.

He's like a gorgeous ball of fur, Squiggle. What a sweetie.

He's adaaaawable El, I had the same cake, it was tricky to slice without making a huge mess lol I gave half of it to SIL, and we ate most of the rest, but I threw out a little last night, I couldn't eat anymore! Yogi, I bet Harvey will come over for a break if the baby tires out mum & dad

That had occurred to me too, Summer.

Television is particularly bad tonight, so I'm catching up on the episode of Jonathan Creek which was shown on Easter Monday.
