Good morning milder but wet here, only rain over night thankfully, but not too far away have had 6 inches overnight Yogi, I misread your post at first and had pictured this.. enjoy your time with your visitors, I hope there's cake Squiggle, here's my guide to a home facial; 1. Remove any makeup 2. Wash your face thoroughly in the normal way. (I use a face wash by simple) 3. Exfoliate using a facial scrub (I use one from the boots botanical range, but it's similar to the simple range) and rinse off 4. Pat dry and then apply a cleansing face mask. (I use simple, or planet spa by Avon) relax and let it it do it's magic (usually 5-10 mins) 5. Rinse off and pat dry. 6. Apply a revitalising or moisturising face mask (mine's Avon) and again relax while it does it's magic 7. Rinse off and pat dry. 8. Give your skin a minute to air dry, then apply your usual moisturiser whilst admiring how lovely your skin feels The face masks can come from anywhere, just whatever takes your fancy. I'm sure I have seen them on eBay too, the Avon ranges change and go out if stock so people do sell them on there. My skin is sensitive though I tend to stick to what I know isn't going to turn me blotchy Also, I often wash my hair too so I might do that first and keep my hair back in the towel during facial time, or wash my hair after the final mask. I often do something productive while the mask dries too, like last night when I changed the bed covers lol

If you have a few moments you might want to have a look at some photos which have won Sony World Photography Awards on this BBC link:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/in-pictures-21828015

They cover a very wide range of subjects and not all will appeal to you. Of the 13 photos, I found the first to be the most breathtaking but I have seen similar photos. But I found the fourth one (the girl in the wind) to be truly astonishing and artistic.

I've been able to track down the photo elsewhere at a larger size:

We do indeed Velvet, whether we manage it or not is, as they say, another matter entirely   And how are you this fine Spring morning?

Not bad Squiggle.

Mum ain't too good so I have to be on my toes. But that's an aside.

Hope you're doing well though - always look in to see how things are

Had my mum and dad over for a visit. They wanted to come over early incase the snow appears later.

Skylark, I hope you don't get soaked when you are out.

Summer, I love the cake, it's very apt.

Sorry to hear your mum is unwell, I hope she feels better soon, Velvet.

Thank you for my thread Squiggle, it was a lovely surprise.

I'm off to check out the link with the pics, El.

I am having a nice day, thanks Summer.

They are cornflowers Summer, although they look a little looser in shape than I remember.  I first came across cornflowers when I was a bridesmaid at my brother's wedding, I was 10 and was given a posy of cornflowers to carry, I thought they were beautiful.

I chose Turkish Thermal Baths Rhassoul Clay Face Mask and African Shea Butter Luxurious Facial.

thank you birthday girl yogi, I hope you've had a great day The cornflowers are lovely, I'm having a half flashback with them but can't place it right now. I think my dad or grandparents may have grown them when I was a girl.. Squiggle, I bet 10 year old you loved being a bridesmaid, I always envied my friends who got to do it and I've still never done it myself! Maybe if my mum marries her new fella.. I had to go food shopping after my exercise class, I've got 2 cakes to bake in the morning. My late night welcome home from Bramble was delicious, she really cheers me up sometimes lol I treated myself to a scented candle- sweet pea! One of my favourite flowers. Now there's an idea for a thread Hope everyone sleeps well night night x

Good morning everyone. Damp weather with lots of low cloud.

Sorry I just missed you last night, Moonie.

Love the Hoot Hoot pic.

Fingers crossed you get to be a bridesmaid someday soon, Summer.

I love sweet peas and grow them in the garden each year, they are such delicate and pretty flowers. Where did you buy your sweet pea candle?

Isn't it lovely that no matter how rubbish your day has been, you always get a great welcome from your dog to cheer you up? Dogs are brilliant!

Youngest son is coming for dinner tonight. I miss my baby.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning I'm supposed to be laying in but I'm getting phone calls & texts, while bramble snores on me! I have a joiner coming in an hour so will get up very soon anyway Yogi I usually grow sweet peas too! Do you you have a particular kind? I buy different ones each year just to see what happens. And when do you plant them? I didn't plant mine last year because we had just got the puppy, this was her idea of gardening... Squiggle, if I have to bake a cake at 180 degrees for 50 mins, how long would I leave them in for if I baked 2 at the same time?
~Sparkling Summer~

Summer, I usually plant the sweet peas at the end of March. I keep them indoors until the end of May, when the risk of frost is over. Last year, I grew "Royal Family Mix" which had a nice scent. This year, I have one called "Twilight" which looks very pretty on the packet.

Squiggle, I have some cornflower seeds which I am going to plant this year.

Good morning everyone, much cloudier here this morning.  I loved the sweet pea picture so much I have downloaded it, it occurs to me it would make a beautiful background for a birthday card. Sweet peas are one of my favourite flowers and I love their scent.  I am glad you are sowing cornflowers Yogi.

Summer I loved being a bridesmaid, I wore a white satin dress, my sister was also a bridesmaid she wore an identical dress to the bride only in blue brocade rather than white.  I fell in love with this little headdress I saw in a shop and nagged until I was allowed to wear it   I'll see if I can add a picture to fill you in

Summer you would have to judge with the cakes, I wouldn't think it would take much longer to bake 2 rather than 1.  Just keep testing the cakes once the normal time for 1 is up.

Lovely picture of Bramble gardening.  What is your joiner going to be tackling Summer?
