I only saw the last 20 minutes, Squiggle, but I do like the boys.

I don't think Keira is 100% today. A few times, she has whimpered, got up and paced around for a minute, like she doesn't know where to put herself. No outward signs of anything and she is sleeping atm, but I just know something is niggling her. If it happens again tomorrow, I think I'll ring the emergency vet for advice.

Unusually I chose lasagne, and throughly enjoyed it Yogi, sorry to hear that you've had a rubbish day I hope you sleep soundly, shake it all off and that tomorrow is much better I hope Keira is alright, could she have eaten anything yukky on her walk..? Interesting reading about the cats, I forget that yes they may have been around for a long time, but they haven't always been domestic! Fine detective work Squiggle I don't think I would count big cats, but technically I suppose they are cats aren't they El, what are Cheltenham's team colours? Great news on their win Moonie I hope you've had a good Saturday Sweetest of dreams to you all

Hiya Sweet. I did have a good Saturday fankoo and I hope you did too

Moonie

Good morning everyone. We had a light flurry of snow overnight.

Thanks everyone, Keira seems a bit better today. She doesn't appear unwell in herself and is eating and drinking normally. No sickness or diarrhea and her teeth and ears seem fine too. No swellings or lumps and her tummy isn't tender to touch. I will keep a close eye on her today though.

Mr Yogi and I plan to have a lazy day, but you know what they say about the best laid plans of mice and men.

Squiggle, I hope the badger finds somewhere else to root around in and leaves your garden alone.

Summer, I love lasagne.

Good morning, Squiggle. I am slightly envious of your blue skies, as we now have grey skies and rain (which has washed away the light covering of snow).

Oh it will probably change any minute   They say that in Britain if you don't like the weather just wait 5 minutes.

You have been busy. I'm doing as little as possible, Moonie.

Summer, I am going to record the documentary about the queen.

I'll probably watch The Lady Vanishes (the new version) tonight though I doubt if it will be a patch on the Hitchcock version (leads Margaret Lockwood & Michael Redgrave with Dame May Whitty as Miss Froy). I've seen that version a few times and also the Americanised 1979 version (leads Cybill Shepherd and Elliott Gould with Angela Lansbury as Miss Froy).

This new version has Tuppence Middleton (I've seen her a couple of times but don't know much about her) and Tom Hughes (last seen blowing his brains out in Dancing on the Edge, so he obviously survived) as the two leads. Selina Cadell is Miss Froy this time and I think she is well cast in the role.

Yogi, I though you and Keira would love it - (it's actually a marshmallow wedding cake)

I've just seen some good news for myself on the BBC website:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-21820719

It looks as if the chancellor has done another U-turn and has gone back to the original intention of bringing in the new flat rate pension scheme for those reaching retirement age from April 2016 rather than April 2017. That means that I will get around ÂĢ36 more a week. This is only fair considering that the original intention was from April 2016 but the chancellor decided to have another consultation resulting in him previously announcing that it would be April 2017.

He's also announced that the cap on social care for the elderly would also be brought in at the same time rather than as previously announced and that it will be ÂĢ72,000 rather then ÂĢ75,000. Having said that, it doesn't cover the cost of accomodation and food so is of limited benefit.
