I get the jitters when I can't get on here.

Mr Yogi has postponed the decorating until sons can assist at the weekend - he will stand about giving instructions, while they do all the work.

The rainbow cake looks impressive, I've never seen one before! I think squiggle's jellies sound beautiful, I like jelly Squiggle, I just love getting creative! El, I see, that makes sense. I think your church will be grateful to you for doing their annual examination for them I've had a lovely catch up with a friend at lunch, we used to work together and only see each other a few times a year now. It's nice to get together again Then I had a brief chat with my best friend on the phone, it seems my goddaughter has discovered the joys of emptying cupboards and throwing tantrums Hi yogi lovely to have you back, it's a shame about the postponement but I'm sure mr yogi will enjoy his week off with you more than decorating Moonie I hope you've had a good Wednesday, I'm sure baz has spotted the giraffes by now, we'll get told off tonight lol Skylark I hope you can pop in soon

Summer and Moonie, what have you been up to with giraffes?

 

Edit: just seen what you two posted in the Darnies thread last night - Baz will not be happy.

I've never thought of giraffes as "cosy".

 

Btw, Mr Yogi was persuaded to buy some wallpaper today, so that I can have a feature wall.

What kind of torture, I mean erm.. Persuasion, did you use on him? What's the wallpaper like?!

I did my sad face, then eldest son offered to do the wallpapering - I think that's what swung it for me.

Lol I don't like to be manipulative but sometimes it's helpful, especially when the house will look beautiful I once needed mr summer to paint the ceiling above the stairs and he didn't quite get round to it so I got all the stuff out and asked him to steady the ladder for me, knowing how clumsy I am he wouldn't let me go up there

The wallpaper is hard to describe (for me anyway). The background colour is a rich cream, with large spiral designs, which are made up of leaf shapes. The colours of the "leaves" are all in the same colour palette as my paint and the curtains I've chosen.

How is your son settling in btw? What does he think of your decorating plans?

 Clever girl. I have been known to do similar things.

I did it once for the lawn mower too, I'm not supposed to touch it Shame that doesn't work for hoovering, laundry, dusting etc

It wasn't me! It was ducky!!!!!!!

He's settling in fine, and they seem good together - although she has commented that he does fill up the laundry basket rather quickly. She is correct, and my laundry loads have halved since he left.

He jokes that we could have waited a week or two before decorating his old room but Mr Yogi keeps telling him he left on a one way ticket.

 But you didn't try to stop her.

Lol there's always the sofa if he comes back You'll save a fortune on washing products poor girlfriend, she should encourage him to do some of the laundry himself too

I am learning the rules on blame already 

 I think it was just the increased volume of washing which shocked her.

He does help with chores and he is a very good cook.

 

You two will be in detention if Ducky ever finds out.
