You must have needed that nap, Summer. Hope you get well soon.

Squiggle and El, I think you are right about violent computer games desensitising young people, Some of them are very violent - even the driving ones seem to be about crashing.

The only games I play on my iPad are word games, four-in-a-row games or bubble popping ones.

good morning I finished work yesterday, had a bath and came to bed, I've had the biggest sleep of my life! I've fasted for 36 hours now, I should think that's enough to starve out the bug, I'm going to try a rich tea biscuit when I get up. It's not pleasant fasting but it works better than anything I've ever tried. Poor MIL has been poorly too, so we're very suspicious of the Chinese, although mr summer has been perfectly fine. I suppose it's possible that it's a bug, there's a lot going round at the moment. Bramble is much much better thank you all, she's been taking a probiotic gravy paste from the vets, she thinks it's absolutely delicious! Yogi, I had to laugh out loud at your angry birds comment I'm exactly the same, it turns me into an angry bird! And those horrible little smirking pigs.. Oooh lol I deleted it. I do think it's a clever game though, and a good little physics lesson Squiggle I hope grandson comes with you today, and I hope it's a lovely service El I hope your service is a good one too for skylark, I hope you've been having a good sleep too Good morning to anyone else who passes through today

Good morning everyone, Summer I am glad that both you and Bramble are feeling better.  I think it might be a bit of a coincidence that you and MIL both got ill, did Mr Summer have something different to you?

It's all change this morning, my friend (and my grandson's friend) has painful legs at the moment, she thinks it might be the cold making it worse, so we are deferring the visit to church at the moment.  My grandson is looking forward to seeing our friend so well after her operation so it's better to leave it until she can get there.

It's not quite as cold here and I hope the weather is better where you are too.

I hope MIL is feeling better today.  Those birds remind me of yesterday when I ran the grandsons home, my eldest grandson had been using the hose (we have a wall mounted retractable hose) and as usual had left off the nozzle   So I went to re-attach the gun and was busy chatting away to him while doing so when suddenly out of the hose casing flew a bird, I could feel his wings against my hair, gave us such a fright.  My grandson thinks it could have been a robin who was very curious when he was using the hose, I did think whether they were casing it up for a nest site.

*phew* I'm in!  It took me four attempts to sign in, it said I'd put in the wrong password but I hadn't.

Good morning everyone.

Summer, I'm sorry to hear your MiL is ill too. Difficult to say whether it's a bug or dodgy Chinese, but I hope she gets well soon. Glad you and Bramble are feeling better.

BTW, you and El have made me feel better about my Angry Birds rage, thank you.

Squiggle, it's a shame you had to postpone your grandson's visit to church but I'm sure it will be all the more special when the time comes.

How fabulous to have such a close encounter with the robin. I hope he does build a nest nearby then you can keep us updated on any chicks.

Talking of chicks, my baby is leaving the nest today, to move in with his gf. I am over the moon for them but may require some support when empty nest syndrome kicks in.

Will be back later, have a good day everyone.

perfect sentiment squiggle! Aw yogi I'm sure it'll be strange without him for a while thank goodness you have Keira at home all the time I'm the youngest so I tried to get my mum involved as much as possible with my new house, then I bought her a pair of budgies. She loved them Squiggle your robin sounds like fun, I hope he comes back

Summer, I hope you and MIL feel better today, and squiggle, I hope your friend's legs become less painful . I should think this cold weather could well account for her legs.

Still cloudy and cold here but the clouds aren't the uniform grey they have been.

Summer I love the robins.  We had one some years back that was so curious about us that he came indoors.  He got a bit frightened then so I had to gently pick him up in my hand and show him where the door was.  They are awful bullies at the feeders though, I watch him sometimes he acts like a little bully chasing off other birds when you can see he isn't hungry himself.

True Summer! My electric bills should go down too. His bedroom will be a guest room and we intend to put a travel cot in there, too.

He has only moved about 6 miles away, so not too far at all. His other two brothers also live within a 6 mile radius of us but in a different direction.

That's close enough to visit often but not so close that he'll be raiding your fridge every night Will you be redecorating the room? And what colour blankie will be in the cot? My mum knits beautiful pram blankets, I loved them so much that I had her knit me a big one for the bottom of my bed. It cost me ÂĢ120 in wool but I love it so much!

Good morning everyone, I love the fact that Mr Yogi is desperate to become a grandad, clever man  he is in for some lovely times.  I walked through M & S last week and all these baby clothes kept catching my eye, so gorgeous, tiny little leggings, pretty little dresses.

Off to the dentist soon with my grandson, have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone. Weather is dry with some blue sky.

I slept well again, so perhaps the lavender products are working.

I hope everyone else managed to get a good night's sleep.

Squiggle, have the antibiotics helped ease the abscesses? I hope the dentist can sort things out for your grandson today, the poor lad has suffered long enough.
