thanks yogi I hope you have a lovely sleep I've had a busy day; I had to get up promptly to help mr summer with clay pigeon shooting, then clean up after our decorating session yesterday, wash my hair & do some paperwork.. I barely feel like I've had a weekend! Luckily for us though, SIL took Bramble for the day and walked her for us Squiggle it's such a shame about your grandson! I hope you had a good day anyway, and that he will go with you very soon
~Sparkling Summer~

Good morning everyone, how very disturbing to find you had gone purple overnight

It's quite a nice morning here but I think we are in for heavy rain later.  My grandson is coming to faith at his own pace, it was his idea to come to church with me I never push him.  As you can imagine it's very exciting for me because I know that where he goes his younger brother will follow, they have a close relationship and the older one has always taken his big brother status very seriously.

One of my camellias is in flower already, the other has a bud on it (we gave it a hard trim back last year because it was so tall you could hardly see the flowers)

Now where have I recently come across someone who mixed her 'j's with her 'g's

No sign of spring locally.

I know the answer to that one.

The azaleas in my garden are budding, as are the daffodils. Only a few snowdrops compared to last year, but the tulips are well on their way.

Hi all

Talking of flowers, i bought some daffodils at the weekend, they have opened up and the scent is lovely. Dont know what part of the country they have came from but welcome anyway.

i agree with you about Mrs Brown's Boys, it's not my cup of tea.

Mrs Browns Boys is so funny, sorry not to every ones taste, and some can be a bit near the knuckle, i have to say. But the resemblance to my sister,s departed mammie-in _ law is uncanny! She is married into a large Irish Catholic family, and its all normal behaviour, apparently!

Tiring of this storyline in Corrie with Tyrone and co. A bit silly now, with Ruby having her passport. They must have signed it together  ,pity they lost the story of domestic violence against men. (Cant find the Corrie thread )

That's the problem, they always drag things out far too long, and then the viewers become fed up waiting for a resolution.

*night owls* I hope you all had a lovely day. Sweet dreams yogi If I wanted to trim back a rose bush, when's the time to do it? I wouldn't want to kill it with a frost Went food shopping tonight, only to discover afterwards that my large frying pan needs replacing I will definitely need one for tomorrow, we've guests coming and I only have 1 small pan I think I prefer the J spelling for Nijer, it looks good
~Sparkling Summer~

Good morning everyone. Weather is dry and cold.

Summer, it depends on the type of roses you have. Bush and shrub roses should be pruned in Spring, and climbers and ramblers shoulder be pruned in late Summer/early Autumn. I agree with Joe's advice and wouldn't prune between November and May, as there is a danger of frost.

I'm off out for the day but wish you all a Happy Pancake Day.

Yogi19

Wow what a wonderful choice of pancakes EL, thank you.  We'll be thinking of you Yogi, have a great day.

Summer I laughed at your post regarding my spelling of Nijer seeds so I looked it up and they are Nyjer seeds, I'm still not sure that looks better than Niger mind you.

EL I hope you are feeling less yellow, even though it's a very nice shade of primrose
