Slightly frosty morning here, fairly sunny, forecast to get cloudier with light rain by evening.

 

Skylark, I,m no car mechanic. The coolant system work was £170, and if I had done than myself it would have been considerably cheaper. The cost of the tyres at £62 each was typical for standard tyres. I could have saved a few pounds by getting budget ones but I choose not to.

I quite agree EL cheap tyres is a foolish gamble IMO.  My hubby used to have a horror of those remoulded tyres, I don't even know if you can still buy them, but they were just that - tyres that had had new rubber moulded onto them and he used to point out huge bits of rubber on the motorways that had been shed from these awful things.

I would never get remould tyres. I think you can still get them but they are less safe than regular tyres.

Good morning thank you for that link squiggle, I'll keep an eye on the upcoming news I see there'll be a new book out in the summer I too avoid the cheap tyres, I think you'd only end up replacing them far more often and therefore costing more in the long run. Not to mention the safety risk!

I bought my last couple of tyres online at tyreshopper. They arranged for them to be fitted at national tyre service. Two discounted Firestones-well pleased'

Healthcare provided by 2gether NHS Foundation Trust (2gether) at HMP Gloucester will conclude at the end of March. This follows the announcement from the Ministry of Justice that HMP Gloucester will close at the same time.

Visiting healthcare staff at the prison for the last time, Richard Graham MP said: “I was delighted to see Marieanne Bubb-McGhee (Service Manager) and members of the Prison healthcare team again in HMP Gloucester last Friday.

“The last Inspector's report showed very clearly, the extraordinary human achievements of the healthcare team and how they are working with prisoners. I've seen glimpses over the years of how difficult this can be so the team should go out with real pride in what they've achieved”.

Mr Yogi was buying two new tyres for his car today. You should all have got together to see if they would have given a discount on a bulk buy.

I didn't sleep too well last night but I had slept for a couple of hours during the day, Summer. 

 

I have finally managed to see Sunday's episode of Call The Midwife and I am surprised how much I am missing Chummy. I hope she is back soon.

Yogi, I've seen elsewhere that Chummy returns at the end of this series. This differs from the books as Chummy went to Africa permanently but the writers changed that to keep her in the series.

I'm glad she is coming back, as she is one of my favourite characters - thanks El.

I was away from the computer, came back and a notice was on saying..Danger Will Robinson from Social Strata .something about spamming 

Evening all I hope everyone had a nice day. Yogi, how are you feeling now? Skylark I hope there's nothing to worry about with that danger message I'm stiff as an ironing board! My back has been aching something horrid since all the snow shovelling, and fearing it dropping out of line I have been working on strengthening & core work to support it. The good news is that my back feels loads better, but my poor thighs and glutes are suffering from delayed muscle ache lol I've just climbed in to bed and it feels like heaven

Skylark, I know nothing about that strange message you received and I don't think it's a normal message. I think you need to raise a query about this in the Social Strata help forum http://help.socialstrata.com/ giving as much information about the message as you can.

Skylark, I have found out that the phrase "Danger, Will Robinson" is a quote from the television series "Lost in Space". What I don't know is why you got such a message. A Google search indicates that it has been used in spam messages. The chances are that the message has nothing to do with Social Strata and that a computer somewhere in the world had become a botnet and is churning these messages around the world. If you clicked on the message then your computer might become a botnet as well.

I have signed EL - and there is a sinister sound to that message because if I remember back in the mists of time as well as Danger Will Robinson there was another famous phrase from that series It Does Not Compute, hope you didn't click on any link Skylark.  Maybe do a scan of your computer to check.
