I'm glad she's a bit better. I hope her sore bit heals soon. Have you got anything you could put on it?

I'm definitely off this time. Goodnight again.

Good morning everyone

The rain last night has got rid of what snow remained on lawns and roofs. Sunny but cold here and will get warmer and wetter by the end of the day.

Yogi, I'm glad your son and gf arrived safely. I hear this morning that there has been chaos overnight with the snow and people abandoning their cars on the M6.

Good morning everyone, lots of rain overnight but a really lovely morning now, almost like a Spring morning, I wish.

Glad to hear that everyone reached their destinations safely.  I am glad Bramble is feeling better, is Sudocreme safe for dogs?  Lovely to hear about Keira in the snow too.

Wow Summer your good morning picture really woke me up   Off to get my haircut soon, have a good morning everyone.

Hi everyone. Still lots of snow in the gardens and on pavements but the roads are pretty clear.

Summer, that pic could have been aimed at me. I was awake from 1 - 5 a.m. and was most definitely a sleepyhead this morning.

Squiggle, I think something like Sudocrem would be fine for dogs, or even something like Vaseline might soothe the broken skin.

El, I heard on the radio that some of the people who were stuck on the M6, made snowmen to while away the time.

El is right, I will expect a twirl when you come back from the hairdressers, Squiggle.

Thanks yogi I hope you're feeling alright, was your nap to make up for being awake in the small hours? I'm pleased the snow is melting, it certainly makes twirling easier doesn't it squiggle I hope your hair feels good now I've been very busy at work today, literally non stop from start to finish, with no lunch! I had miss bramble with me too because mr summer was out all day, so of course she needed a good walk when we got home.. Then I had to wash my hair & get ready to go out for a birthday meal- which was delicious! Sadly though, when I arrived home from work I made a tragic discovery. My boy bunny had passed away in his hutch, exactly 7 weeks after my girl bunny passed. Perhaps the cold weather was too much for his old age, or, more likely his heart was broken. It's quite common in paired bunnies. I'm sad, but not shocked, and I'm relieved that he won't be alone. I'm certain that they are reunited already and hopping around heavenly pastures together, bless them Hopefully I'll be around more tomorrow, sleep well all and have a good Sunday morning

Good morning everyone. We've had a lot of rain overnight, which has washed away the snow.

Summer, I am sorry to hear about Howard's passing. I think you are probably right about the cold weather, combined with loneliness being the cause. I'm sure he is now reunited with his mate and they are happily bouncing about together.

Joe, there was a lot of English spoken during the first Borgen episode tonight. I am always impressed by the Dane's ability to speak several foreign languages. I fell asleep at the start of the second episode, and will need to catch up today.

Have a good day everyone, whatever you are doing.

I was wondering if it was illness, I had heard there was illness amongst greenfinches, I loved to see them too.  Do you know I don't think there have been quite as many blue tits, coal tits and great tits as usual either.  We are usually swamped with them.  By the by the new hopper feeder is great, it's nearly empty after its first fill and no wastage at all.  Highly recommended.

I thought this was cute We can watch after the frog spawn appears Been quite a busy day, we desperately needed Groceries and decided to go to morrisons for a change. We took MIL in law too because shes not left the house for a week, she was delighted The healthy foods were cheaper and better quality & sizes than in tesco's, I'm impressed Lovely hymns El, thank you for sharing. Come back soon Skylark, we miss you hope she's had a good weekend

Summer, I didn't have to pick up son last night, I just wanted to have a natter to him when he got home. He and his gf had a busy but enjoyable weekend.

Quite an anniversary for Elizabeth and Mr Darcy, El - 200 years!

I wonder what they'll do to celebrate

Good morning everyone.  I agree Skylark hope you get the computer fixed soon, we all miss you   It is sad not to hear from Joyron too, I often wonder how she is getting on.  I like both the hymns EL.  Our new minister is keen as mustard on all the modern words for hymns so although we had Amazing Grace as our closing hymn he went for the version that includes the variation My Chains Fell Off, which perhaps sounds nice to listen to but isn't as easy to sing.  So the end result is that the congregation struggles instead of joining in and singing with gusto.  Shame.

Heavy rain has arrived, so now the weather is cold, windy and wet.

Squiggle, I wish they wouldn't muck about with the words or tunes for hymns. IMO, there's no need for it.

I've been to the recycling centre, the dry cleaners and the chemist this morning. When I got home, I realised I had forgotten to buy a newspaper and milk, so I'll need to pop out again. Hopefully the rain will go off for five minutes and I won't get soaked.

Yogi19

I've returned from helping the person from church with her tax return. Very straightforward and we spent more time chatting about other things than on her tax return

It's become windy and drizzly here. Yogi, I hope you don't get a soaking,

I agree with you that they should leave the classic hymns as they were unless there is good reason to change.

Some house building company has put a leaflet through my door about some new houses built in Gloucester. This is what they look like:

I've no intention of moving but to me the houses look rather like seaside chalets. The leaflet shows this more clearly with the blue sections looking like horizontally laid timber strips. The houses have been built next to the docks which are in the process of being regenerated.
