Thanks El. I'll probably end up recording both of them.

Kia says thanks too

Son and girlfriend out for the evening, she has the highest heels on, so on standby for ankle break! Hope not, and not sure why she has to wear them, maybe the height thing is coming into it..we shall see..

Most of the young girls are wearing heels like stilts atm, and half of them can't walk in them. Fingers crossed she doesn't come a cropper.

My youngest son inherited his lack of height gene from my side of the family and he liked it when the girls were all wearing little ballet pumps.

They'll cope, they come from good stock.

Good morning everyone

Cold, sunny and frosty here. Snow tonight, but later on Monday it's more likely to be rain. Tuesday onwards forecast to be very cold and could well be like that for several weeks.

I saw The Band Wagon (1953) again last night. One of Fred Astaire's best films. It contains one of my favourite numbers - Triplets, which always makes me smile:

El Loro

Good morning everyone, I remember watching that film and they definitely did the triplets thing on their knees, it was amusing but odd.

Those slankets do look cosy but as you say can be difficult if you have to leap up suddenly.  Onesies are cosy too but you would feel daft wearing them I think.  To people of my age they definitely look like giant babygro's but the young ones seem to love them.  The girls do look lovely in their high heels like colts but they have got to be painful for extended wear.  I know from some books that I read that lots of girls have shoes which are purely from going from car to bar.

Will you have a go at the clay pigeon shooting yourself Summer?

squiggle

Good afternoon everyone. It's been snowing on and off all day. So far, it hasn't really settled, so no disruptions or inconvenience.

I remember that clip of "the triplets", El. One thing I noticed on watching it again, was that Nanette was lifting her "feet" much higher than the two men, so perhaps that's why her knees ached so much with the impact.

Summer, enjoy your day and I hope your weather is better than mine.

Oh how spooky- I'm watching chatsworth right now! I missed it first time round so I'm delighted its being shown again I'm currently bugging mr summer by saying "look! I've walked there! I've seen that!" Clay pidgeon shooting was great, it took a bit longer than planned because we sometimes had to wait in a little queue. I was lucky enough to have a little go if we found ourselves with no one waiting behind us, and the clay looked easy enough. I'm delighted to report that I hit my first clay in fact, I hit 4 out of 5! Mr summer was very proud lol
