I think it's Lady May, but I think your name for her is probably more apt.

Could be a Freudian slip she is an ex Gaiety Girl and seems a hard faced besom.

Good evening I had an unexpectedly very busy afternoon at work; for some schools it was their last day off, and typically everyone left it late in the day to come in.. Just as those who were back at school, flooded in on their way home! The majority were great chatters though so it wasn't at all horrid to be there. I recorded mr selfridge last night, it sounds like I could be disappointed in it though. I'll try to watch it this week. I was very happy to watch glee last night though, it was the first episode of the new series. I have 3 series of the Tudors on DVD, I enjoyed it up until they got older and Henry went mad. He was horrid wasn't he! I didn't like his 5th wife, I forget her surname now I did very much like his best friend, the duke of Suffolk though I don't have a tumble dryer but I'm very lucky that we have spare bedrooms and a lovely big banister to spread laundry around. Our house is warm and everything dries fast, unlike our old house that was very damp and required a dehumidifier to get the washing dry! I cheat with ironing though, I dry as much as I can on hangers so a lot doesn't need ironing

Ditto Yogi

Whoops sorry.... I thought I was in the CBB thread.... didn't mean to butt in Evening Buddies

You're welcome any time Baz - you can even bring your ironing with you.

Good morning everyone.  Yogi I sympathise I used to iron everything, underwear, socks, face flannels, everything until my hubby talked me out of it.  I do what Summer does now and dry everything that can be hung on hangers that way.  Of course I don't have shirts to iron anymore.  I find if I drape my sheets and pillowcases over the dryer and fold them carefully afterwards they are very smooth.

Good morning a very dark, rainy but mild start but it looks to be brightening a little now. I think we're forecast rain most of the day El, thank you I've set a reminder on my phone and will record love actually Squiggle, I too do that, if I dry my bed covers over the banister and fold them perfectly at the right time, they don't need ironing I'm really good at folding fitted sheets, I spread them out on the double bed and then fold them from there. I recently noticed that mr summer hangs his socks in pairs to save time pairing them up when they're dry

I need to make a NY resolution to do less ironing.

Good morning everyone. It's raining again!

Summer, are you after another name change, what do you have in mind this time?

I'm glad you have a well trained hamster (I happened to see the final episode of Fawlty Towers the other day where Manuel's pet "siberian hamster"(actually a rat) escapes and eventually is found in a box of cheese biscuits being offered to a visiting health inspector:

Either Christmas pressies or bargains from the sales.

I was catching up on last night's Lewis and I'm really sad that it is supposed to be the last series. Laurence Fox is off to America to try to make it over there, and Kevin Whately wanted time off to do other things.

On a happier note, I read that ITV are doing a series of Endeavour.

Don't forget that a new series of Death in Paradise starts tonight at 9 on BBC1.

Squiggle, I know you don't watch crime series as a whole, but Death in Paradise is more relaxed than any other modern crime series, doesn't dwell on gory scenes, isn't violent and the episodes in the first series are rated either PG or 12.
