Squiggle, I'll keep an eye out for First Flight if it gets shown again - it doesn't seem to have got on to Youtube yet. I am intending to watch Up! when it's shown. They are making a sequel to How to Train your dragon for release in 2014 so we will have to wait some time.

 

Yogi, I'm sorry to hear about your Lo-Salt mishap

 

Just dropped my brother off at the railway station. I know there were more problems at Paddington this morning but my brother checked to make sure things had improved. Last time he went back there were major problems with the train resulting in the railway company having to pay for a taxi to take him to his house for the latter part of the journey. He didn't get back home until 1.30 in the morning and had to get up at 7 to go off to work. The railway company have also refunded him the cost of the fare for the latter part of the journey. They've also given him a scratch card which he can use any time in 2013 for a free journey between London and Gloucester and it's first class as well.

 

We're hoping he doesn't have similar problems this time. I did offer him sandwiches to take back with him but he didn't take the offer up.

EL did you see there was a short film on BBC 1 just now with the characters from How To Train Your Dragon.  I just caught a bit of it if I had known it was on I would have warned you.  You can probably get it again on the iPlayer.

It was good that your brother got refunded and compensated for his inconvenience last time El, lets hope his current and future journeys are trouble free though I've just been reminded of something silly I did last night that you might enjoy; I went to clean my teeth and discovered I was holding a tube a foot cream instead of toothpaste! thank goodness I noticed before I opened it lol

El, that was pretty good customer service/compensation your brother got from the rail company, although I'm sure he would have preferred an uneventful journey.

I see there's another short animation this afternoon based on How to train your dragon - BBC1 3.10 pm Legend of the Boneknapper Dragon.

 

Weather forecast isn't good here over the next 4 days with tonight and Saturday being the worst. I don't think we are in for flooding as bad as July 2007 but property in areas by the Severn are at risk. It will be quite a testing time for people there. I don't live in the at greatest risk area though. Tuesday onwards looks as of it will be drier than recently.

Harvey had a great Christmas, with lots of pressies and goodies.

DiL's mum cooked him a Christmas dinner on Christmas Day (they all went out for dinner, but she still cooked a proper Christmas dinner for her dog and Harvey), and then he had turkey and gravy with his dog food at my house on Boxing Day.

Off for a bubble bath, then a read. Sleep well, Buddies.

Summer, it's a quiet day for me today. I did my normal weekly shopping yesterday morning instead of today due to the forecast bad weather this morning, It's windy here and raining at present so I made the right decision.

Squiggle, if I had gone shopping this morning I would have got soaked to the skin as for about half an hour around 9.30 it was tipping down here. It's still raining but not like it was.

And as a direct result of that rain at 9.30 today's football match between Cheltenham (at home) against Bristol Rovers has been postponed.

 

It's still raining but is lighter now and if it hadn't been for that deluge the match could well have gone ahead.
