I just left some of this in the ski lodge and it looks lovely so I thought I'd share it here too.. Although the recipe does sound something I wouldn't like to taste

Good afternoon everyone. Weather is horrible, with non stop rain.

 

Summer, I love Christmas Eve, too. When my sons were small, the house was buzzing with their anticipation for tomorrow - I loved it!

 

I watched It's A Wonderful Life and White Christmas as I wrapped the presents (every year I say I will not leave the wrapping until Christmas Eve, but I always do!). Anyway, all done now, so I'm all set.

 

I'm glad the pond liner has settled down and hope it stays that way, Squiggle.

Son did his wrapping a few days ago - he usually does it at the very last minute.

My bedding is changed, and Mr Yogi has clambered in. I like to be first in bed when there are clean sheets on!

My feet are up and I've got a nice cold glass of Schloer beside me.

Thanks Skylark , just one more day to go and then maybe something for New Years Eve.

I almost had a Christmas disaster! When I was putting some stuff in the big freezer (in the garage), I had to reorganise some things. I lifted out the bag with the sausagemeat (5 packs!) and didn't put it back in again.

Fortunately, I discovered it just in time, it had completely defrosted but was still okay. *phew*.

Now I am making stuffing tonight, instead of in the morning.

Oh well done! Saves in the morning. Shame you had to get out of your clean bed tho

How lovely that we have had Santa Claus popping in to post beautiful pictures too

Well done on your save Yogi, here's hoping that everything goes beautifully smoothly today, and if it doesn't that at least you can laugh at it when it all goes slightly Pete Tong.

Special good wishes to little Joshua, his very first Christmas although he won't remember a thing about it and special hugs and kisses for Baz, thanks for popping in, and Velvet Donkey, and not forgetting you Joyron who we love and miss

Mr Yogi was able to join us in gift giving before he had to go to work and he will be home by 5.30pm, so we will eat Christmas dinner then (including the rescued sausagemeat stuffing!).

Santa brought me a sunrise lamp, hopefully I'll be waking up early easier from now on We've opened gifts, called family and had smoked salmon & scrambled egg for breakfast

Nooooooooo Summer, it's my son's friend who proposed to his GF, not my son! You'll be giving Mr Yogi a heart attack, we still have middle son's wedding in August, before youngest son can even think about engagements.
