Good morning everyone. It was -4 degrees Celcius this morning, when I dropped off son at the station. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Summer, if you were referring to the jungle evictions, then Rosemary went on Tuesday and Hugo went last night. Sorry to see Hugo go, while Eric still remains.

Got some errands to run later today, now that I don't have to wait in for any more parcels. The DX one finally arrived yesterday.

I've had a Christmas cactus for years. It looks rubbish for eleven months of the year and blooms for four weeks around November/December time. It is in full bloom atm and looks very pretty.

Good morning everyone, very cold here but like EL surprisingly no frost, it certainly seems cold enough for frost.

Aww lovely to hear your pet stories and how much they mean to you, I am so glad that bunny was able to eat more normally and I think with such a strong will she stands a good chance of being able to pull through any operation.  The decision must be yours of course Summer.

I agree with Yogi Skylark, not cruel, not cruel at all, in fact in the finest traditions of Christmas.  The cruellest thing I think I ever heard of was my brother in law who really did leave coal in his son's shoe one Christmas for being naughty

Wrap up warm now and enjoy the day

The coal in the show reminds me of my late uncle who was a Scrooge. You may remember me saying that he and my aunt never celebrated Christmas and that one year one of his daughters have them a box of chocolate biscuits. He subsequently told the daughter that the biscuits had been broken up and put in the garden for the birds. The daughter would have been adult then so not the same as if she had still been a child but even so.

There was a letter in my paper this morning and the information in it is worth passing on to the dog owners in this thread.

This lady lost her beloved dog three days after he had eaten some of her home made carrot cake.  She had used the artificial sweetener Xylitol in it as a healthy option.  She had no idea it was toxic to dogs and the vets could not save him.  She also says to beware of leaving around things which might have been sweetened with it in the summer at picnics etc.

Sad story, squiggle. I didn't know that about Xylitol but chocolate for humans is toxic for dogs but that's quite well known.

Xylitol is found in many products
The most common xylitol item is sugar-free gum. Gum can be found everywhere, and is often tempting to dogs. Keep gum out of reach - watch out for open pockets, purses, counter tops, and in the car. Xylitol can also be found in sugar-free (low carb and diabetic) candies, baked goods, some pharmaceuticals and many dental products, including mouthwashes, mints and toothpastes. Only use pet toothpaste for pets, never human toothpaste.

I may be getting a new client or rather an old one. I haven't seen her since 1997 and she has since divorced, changed her first name as well as her surname changing, a different address and a different type of business. I'm seeing her on Monday afternoon.

She is a hypnotherapist so I must make sure I don't look into her eyes, and if she  produces a pendulum I'm running

Good luck in your new home Summer, I hope it's luxurious, I may pop in an look around.
