Good morning everyone. Very overcast and grey day. I slept for eleven hours last night My batteries are well and truly charged! El, I can't watch the clip on my iPad but I'll check it out later I have never seen The Removal Men, it sounds good. I watched half of Autumnwatch before I fell asleep - still struggling with Michaela Strachan as a presenter Bring back Bill and Kate!

Yes thanks Summer, the little witch had a nice time, she loves dressing up, will have to look for a Christmas outfit now, if you see any on your travels, give me the nod x

Nope cant get organised today Yogi, have given up

Remind me never to play Scrabble with you.

I'll keep an eye out for Christmas outfits, too.

Great words, never heard of any of them before, El.

Off to catch up on last night's episode of DCI Banks, sweet dreams everyone.

Good morning A lovely collection of new words, I wonder if any of them are allowed yet on words with friends (aka scrabble app) Is "scrabble" an allowed word..? Yogi I hope you have a smooth time running your errands, it sounds like you're in for a busy day! Squiggle I'm pleased to see little chef is happy I hope he makes you something delicious for Xmas Skylark, I've been perusing costumes for myself lately so I'll keep an eye out for smaller ones I found a lovely jovi elf costume, from the movie elf, but it's ÂĢ60! I actually think I could make one cheaper than that, I'm tempted to try

Good morning everyone, we had some really awful weather yesterday, hailstones, thunder and lightning all at the same time!  I hope the weather is better today.

Summer not a chance of our little chef cooking for us at Christmas, he is working over all the holiday I doubt we will see him certainly not until later on.

Interesting collection of words EL, Skylark you sound fun to play Scrabble with

Summer I found a little video clip of how to make an elf costume, it might give you one or two ideas, I can't get it to embed

Summer, thanks for your congratulations. The bus took me straight to Broadmoor and it was nice to meet some of the inmates who I had known in the past. I didn't stay long and the bus took me back home in time for a mid morning cup of coffee. I'm not intending to go back there though (at least not on a voluntary basis).

Morning x
You have had some terrible weather squiggle  Its very cold here today.
Playing Scrabble in my house can be fun, my daughter is slightly dyslexic so some words are rather odd!!
ÂĢ60 is rather a lot Summer, but you work hard so treat yourself! Although you are good at making things so maybe give it a try.
Going out shopping, my sister,s birthday next week so will have to get something, at the moment i dont know what. She always says she doesnt want anything, but nobody listens
Have a good day all

Sounds like an interesting trip El, I'm pleased the driver waited for you, when he's on night shift he tends to just drop me off and do a runner! Probably wants to go home for his night cap I imagine Skylark I hope you just see something that stands out, for your sister. I'm sure she enjoys a little gift or 2 really The costume would come from America so it's the shipping that bumps up the price. What puts me off is that it's a one size fits all outfit.. If I make my own, it will fit me properly
~Sparkling Summer~

El, you little , I was like reading about your trip to Broadmoor - then the penny dropped and I realised you were on The bus! Gullible is my middle name.

Off to get my headphones to listen to the music clips.

Squiggle, I hope your weather has improved. Still very rainy up here.

Skylark, have you tried Asda and Tesco online, for the Christmas outfits?

Summer, I think you could run up an elf costume, no probs.

Good morning everyone, extremely showery here.  We keep getting bits of blue sky and just when you think 'that's better' it pours down again.

There's lovely autumn colour on the opposite hillside and I know it's only going to be a couple of weeks before all the tree are bare.

Hope everyone slept well and that your day goes well.

Good morning everyone. Sunshine and showers today.

I woke early this morning (6.20am) and went downstairs to make a cup of tea. The kettle had just begun to boil when we had a power cut. It lasted for an hour and a half, then everything came back on - except Virgin tv and broadband. I phoned their helpline number and was informed that they knew there was a problem in my area and it should be fixed by 10.45am. However, at 11am, still no tv or broadband so I called back and was told it wouldn't be sorted until 2.45pm. I was having palpitations! Anyway, it seems to be sorted now, and my heart rate has returned to normal.

All this talk of cookies makes me want one - lemon meringue ones.

Squiggle, I am reliably informed that the clementine and cranberry ones are a Christmas line.

Have a good day everyone.

Squiggle, I thought you'd like this pic.

Yogi19
Did someone say christmas?! Squiggle I loved the elf costume video so much that I immediately bought some fabric off eBay and am going to make my own the costume in the film is similar to my existing santa costume so I'll use that as a guide, I can't wait to get the sewing machine out Yogi I'm pleased you're electric issues are resolved, being off line through no choice of your own makes me feel sick lol El, will you be pleased to see snow if it arrives? Skylark I hope you have a nice day, and don't get back too late to relax
~Sparkling Summer~

Glad you are back on Yogi
I fancied something nice too, i got a raspberry cheesecake. will have it tomorrow.
My wee doggy not too well today. Dont know whats wrong with her, she is looking rather sorry for herself and just wants to cuddle in

Hi Summer, just saw you there, i am back , now going to do some housework, i am on my own today so i can get on. Good luck with making the costume x

Yogi that's a lovely picture, I love pictures like that, I found this one too which just made me want sit there and drink in the view

Hope you get on OK with the housework Skylark, remember to treat yourself to lots of tea breaks

So glad you liked the make an elf costume video Summer, you must show us a pic when you have finished.

Oh no Yogi!  For a minute there I thought we were on a schedule with us all taking turns to get no TV (or Strictly) over the weekend, thank goodness you are back on now.  I had a to do night before last when I couldn't get on to the internet on the laptop, I think it's because I have to unplug and plug in the router every now and then.

Summer, I don't mind snow if I don't have to do out in it. Unfortunately I do, and I don't like driving in snow. Where I live, snow is less common than up north, so you don't need to see much snow for there to be traffic chaos. I'm not expecting any snow here just yet, it would be unusual to get any before December.

Yogi, and squiggle, lovely pictures

Yogi, I'm glad your power cut is over and broadband/TV is back.
