Good morning everyone
It rained at some point overnight but is dry at present. May be showers during the day. My area is between the South West where lots of showers are forecast and the Midland which is forecast to be dry.
Scrabble is a word which is allowed in Scrabble, Summer
Good morning everyone, we had some really awful weather yesterday, hailstones, thunder and lightning all at the same time! I hope the weather is better today.
Summer not a chance of our little chef cooking for us at Christmas, he is working over all the holiday I doubt we will see him certainly not until later on.
Interesting collection of words EL, Skylark you sound fun to play Scrabble with
Summer I found a little video clip of how to make an elf costume, it might give you one or two ideas, I can't get it to embed

Summer, thanks for your congratulations. The bus took me straight to Broadmoor and it was nice to meet some of the inmates who I had known in the past. I didn't stay long and the bus took me back home in time for a mid morning cup of coffee. I'm not intending to go back there though (at least not on a voluntary basis).
Morning x
You have had some terrible weather squiggle Its very cold here today.
Playing Scrabble in my house can be fun, my daughter is slightly dyslexic so some words are rather odd!!
ÂĢ60 is rather a lot Summer, but you work hard so treat yourself! Although you are good at making things so maybe give it a try.
Going out shopping, my sister,s birthday next week so will have to get something, at the moment i dont know what. She always says she doesnt want anything, but nobody listens
Have a good day all
For some reason the music to this clip popped into my head so I thought I would post it. The clip is a touch macabre but is suited to the title of the music by Gounod (and was the title music to the Hitchcock television series).
I also spotted this clip with around 10,000 people singing Ode to Joy:
As Ode of Joy is intended to call for the unity of all people, 10,000 is not excessive.
One of the nicer adverts on at present with fruit shaped bubbles and the music is Gassenhauer by Carl Orff:
and a longer version of the music (which is part of a collection called Musica Poetica though this Gassenhauer piece is the famous one):
El, you little , I was like reading about your trip to Broadmoor - then the penny dropped and I realised you were on The bus! Gullible is my middle name.
Off to get my headphones to listen to the music clips.
Squiggle, I hope your weather has improved. Still very rainy up here.
Skylark, have you tried Asda and Tesco online, for the Christmas outfits?
Summer, I think you could run up an elf costume, no probs.
Bath, book then bed. Goodnight all, see you tomorrow.
Good morning everyone
Guess what, it's been raining here and looks as if there could be more. Snow is forecast about 60 miles to the west of me (at the top of the Brecon beacons )
Morning everyone x
Its so cold here this morning.
I will look around internet Yogi, later when i am organised Have some food shopping to do and the dreaded housework
Have a good day, whatever you are up to
Good morning everyone, extremely showery here. We keep getting bits of blue sky and just when you think 'that's better' it pours down again.
There's lovely autumn colour on the opposite hillside and I know it's only going to be a couple of weeks before all the tree are bare.
Hope everyone slept well and that your day goes well.
I've just returned from shopping and bought a couple of clementine and cranberry cookies from M&S - I don't think they've had these before.
The only photo I could find.
I like the flapjack cookies and the lemon meringue cookies but have not seen the clementine and cranberry ones, I wonder if they are a Christmas line.

I think they almost certainly are.
Good morning everyone. Sunshine and showers today.
I woke early this morning (6.20am) and went downstairs to make a cup of tea. The kettle had just begun to boil when we had a power cut. It lasted for an hour and a half, then everything came back on - except Virgin tv and broadband. I phoned their helpline number and was informed that they knew there was a problem in my area and it should be fixed by 10.45am. However, at 11am, still no tv or broadband so I called back and was told it wouldn't be sorted until 2.45pm. I was having palpitations! Anyway, it seems to be sorted now, and my heart rate has returned to normal.
All this talk of cookies makes me want one - lemon meringue ones.
Squiggle, I am reliably informed that the clementine and cranberry ones are a Christmas line.
Have a good day everyone.
Squiggle, I thought you'd like this pic.
Glad you are back on Yogi
I fancied something nice too, i got a raspberry cheesecake. will have it tomorrow.
My wee doggy not too well today. Dont know whats wrong with her, she is looking rather sorry for herself and just wants to cuddle in
Hi Summer, just saw you there, i am back , now going to do some housework, i am on my own today so i can get on. Good luck with making the costume x
Yogi that's a lovely picture, I love pictures like that, I found this one too which just made me want sit there and drink in the view
Hope you get on OK with the housework Skylark, remember to treat yourself to lots of tea breaks
So glad you liked the make an elf costume video Summer, you must show us a pic when you have finished.
Oh no Yogi! For a minute there I thought we were on a schedule with us all taking turns to get no TV (or Strictly) over the weekend, thank goodness you are back on now. I had a to do night before last when I couldn't get on to the internet on the laptop, I think it's because I have to unplug and plug in the router every now and then.
Summer, I don't mind snow if I don't have to do out in it. Unfortunately I do, and I don't like driving in snow. Where I live, snow is less common than up north, so you don't need to see much snow for there to be traffic chaos. I'm not expecting any snow here just yet, it would be unusual to get any before December.
Yogi, and squiggle, lovely pictures
Yogi, I'm glad your power cut is over and broadband/TV is back.
Yes she is off her food, and just been sick (sorry if you are having lunch). Probably a bug, hopefully she will be on the mend soon. trying to get her to lie down she keeps following me around, poor thing.
Aww, Poor Kia, give her a big hug from me, Skylark.
