A couple of lovely pictures squiggle

I've only seen the Gene Wilder version of Willy Wonka. From what bits of the Depp version I've seen I'm not in a rush to see it.

I found this clip on Youtube which is quite pleasant:

The creator of the video has confused Red Indians with Indians . The words used are known as the Apache Blessing. At the end of the video appears the word Namaste. I happen to know what that word means as there was one time when we used it in our church. The curate at the time and others had been to India during the summer to help in a local school where there is a twinning between Gloucester Diocese and the churches there. Namaste is an Indian salutation either when people meet or depart said with the palms of your hand together with fingers pointing up and a slight nod of the head.

Good morning everyone

A foggy morning here, hopefully will lift during the morning. Tomorrow is forecast to be foggy all day here but I don't have to go anywhere tomorrow. Tuesday forcast to be cloudy rather than foggy.

Yogi, my brother's library group has been having a small scale literary festival recently. One of the libraries (not my brother's) had a talk from Mark Billingham.

Good morning everyone. Weather is dry ATM. Summer, I'm sorry you had a bad day yesterday, but glad your evening was a good one. Squiggle, how is your grandson doing now? El, did your brother say how Mark's chat went? I would have been interested to hear him, as I am enjoying his book I need to give my greenhouse its end of season scrub out, so if the weather stays dry, I'll hopefully get it done today

Yogi, my brother will be coming here next weekend and he will probably be telling me then how the various events went. I don't think he was involved with the Mark Billingham event so may not be able to say much. When he rang me the other day he said that there were more changes in the library set up there so he may be thinking more about that than anything else. He didn't seem to think that there was any immediate effect on him.

Good morning everyone, Summer I hope you had a good evening and that today will be a better day

My grandson is in hospital unfortunately.  He said he woke up on Saturday morning in a lot of pain so he went to the local hospital but they had no X Ray facilities during the weekend so they put him in an ambulance to the nearest main hospital.  Turns out he has broken two bones in his foot, greenstick fractures, so they have kept him in and he is not sure what the treatment will be.  Whether it will be an inflatable boot thing, Skylark is bound to know.  Looks like that will put the kibosh on driving lessons though (we are waiting for his instructor to have a space) one thing after another at the mo

I just don't think he would Yogi, he doesn't have a good feeling about the police.  There were a couple of thugs posted down here from the Met because they had been bad boys in the smoke (to make that clear these thugs are coppers by the way) and for their own amusement they went around picking up young lads, roughing them up a bit and dumping them miles from home.  If the young lads had reported them it would have been their word against the police, so they knew they were safe.  It happened to many of my grandsons' friends.

Summer they weren't boys that were doing it they were full grown policemen, bad apples, and they were - and probably still are - terrorising the local boys

Sorry yogi, yes I was watching Downton And then cleaning my teeth.. Hope you enjoyed downtown tonight I bought mr summer a hand warmer, you fill it with lighter fluid and keep it in your pocket, it stays warm for 12 hours! He gave me one earlier in the year and I love it, he's been borrowing lately so has asked for one of his own Then I bought the newly married SIL a personalised bauble for the tree, and one may have fallen in my shopping basket for a certain puppy who arrived this year My question for you upon waking.. What would all of you wish to put on your christmas lists this year then? Sweetest of dreams to you all

Good morning everyone

A very grey day out there, it's a lights on all day type of day. Forecast temperatures today until Thursday are around average or slightly above. Friday gets progressively colder during the day and a cold weekend is forecast. Temperatures are forecast to be below average for the following month. The higher parts of Scotland expected to get snow.

Summer, your avi looks rather like a Mr Man character but I'm probably wrong

Good morning everyone, sounds like your Christmas shopping is going well Summer.  I agree EL Summer's new avi looks like Little Miss Christmas.  A greyish morning here but at least it's dry.  Looks like my new electric blanket will be arriving just in time for the cold spell, I hope those north of the border don't get too much snow, it seems a bit early for it.

Good morning everyone. Weather is damp and foggy here, too. Little Miss Christmas is a perfect avi for Summer. When my youngest son was small, he had all of the Mr Men books - in fact, I think we still have them, packed away in the loft. Summer, I've never seen the hand warmers you mentioned but they sound like a good idea Squiggle, I'm hoping that the predicted snow is on higher ground. It does seem a bit early for snow, although all of the seasons are a bit bonkers.

Lovely scenes, squiggle. Thank you

Just had an automated phone call from some outfilt claiming I was due a ÂĢ1000 refund on my pension. That's a new one on me. Highly suspicious and I certainly didn't press 5 to talk to anyone.

I had a look on the Action Fraud website to see if there was any mention and found this:

Pension liberation fraudsters promise to convert pension benefits into cash before retirement.

The fraudsters may say that there is a legal loophole in order to do this, but there is no legal loophole.

They will also take a percentage of the pay-out as their so-called management fee. However, the fraudsters do not pay the tax to HMRC, which leaves the victim with a large tax bill to pay.

I don't know if it was this or something else but if it's too good to be true then it probably is.

Squiggle, those autumn pic are really beautiful. As I was driving home from the shops today, I was admiring all the gorgeous colours of the leaves on the trees.

El, it's good to know my bonkers description has official backing.

Hope you have a nice time with your sister and that you enjoyed your weekend, Skylark.

El, all these fraud scams are driving me round the twist. They have made me so cynical.

Good afternoon foggy and damp but quite mild here. My hair has gone from straight, to fluffy to wavy! We too have been forecast snow for the weekend, I take that with a pinch of salt but I won't mind if we do get some Indeed my avi is little miss christmas! I had no idea she even existed until last year when Santa brought me a t-shirt with her on I think I should buy the book for my goddaughter, and read it first to make sure it's suitable El, those pesky scams will they ever stop..?! Skylarks I hope your sister's asthma calms down and you both can enjoy her visit
