I refuse point blank to give any personal details if they phone me. Different if I phone them, whoever it is, then I have to prove who I am.

Exactly, Squiggle.
Skylark, Virgin also ask you for letters from your password when they call you to offer new packages - I always refuse. One girl tried to reassure me that she was a genuine Virgin employee by telling me how much my last bill was and the date I joined Virgin - only problem was, she got the date wrong. Needless to say, I refused to give her any info.
I do too squiggle
Do you think if i killed Tracey from Corrie they would let me off

Asolutely! I'd be a character witness for you.
A film called Beasts of the Southern Wild has just been released in the UK. It's an independent American film and seems to be quite an exceptional film. It's a 12 certificate.
The reason for posting this is that the child is played by Quvenzhane Wallis who was 5 when she auditioned and 7 when filming ended. The film has already won some awards, and there is talk that Quvenzhane could be nominated for the Oscar for best actress. If she was nominated she would be the youngest ever nominee.
Looks like an interesting film, and even from that short clip, it would seem that the little girl can act.
I think we could make a better fist of writing some soap scripts than the ones they have presently, if only they would give us a go - we could split the fee, EL could work out the percentages

We'd be brilliant and with El managing our accounts, we'd be the dream team.
I have quite a big 'hit list' already and I would introduce some happy endings, I am sure it would be very popular. And no more of these never ending stories, for instance what has happened to Eastenders Kat's secret boyfriend all of a sudden, they are probably trying to spin it out until Christmas

Will watch the clip later El, internet being playing up and only just got it settled, clicking on the clip may start it off again (screen keeps freezing)
It's so odd this white van deliberately running people over in Cardiff. My eldest grandson was run into by a white van in Ilfracombe early this afternoon, my grandson said he seemed to come right at him. He drove over his foot and trying to get away he fell on his shoulder which he has dislocated before and it popped out again.
They had said at the hospital that once it dislocates it will be prone to do the same. It took a while to get back in this time too. This is the same grandson who had the accident with the bus earlier on in the year, poor little love. Surely there can't be a connection between both incidents can there? His foot is badly bruised, luckily he still had the crutches. He is strong painkillers now, I hope that's the end of it for him, he's been through too much.
A very kind lady took him into her house, gave him a cup of tea and sent him to the local hospital in a taxi, people are very kind.
Squiggle, your poor grandson. I've had a dislocated shoulder and it can be really painful for quite a while afterwards, especially if there is some soft tissue damage. Hope he gets better soon.
The world seems full of nutters atm, it's frightening.
Edit: What a kind woman.
I think he feels as if he has a target on his back at the moment Yogi

It can feel like that at times, Squiggle. Hopefully things will pick up for him soon.
Oh how awful squiggle , and very painful for him. Was it reported to the Police?
He couldn't make out the firm or the number plate, not surprising as the bloomin thing was on his foot, he banged hard on the bonnet and said the guy couldn't possibly not have known he had run him over. If I had an inkling of who it was I would be onto the police myself as this surely is a reportable traffic accident. My grandson said the lady came out and shouted at the van as he drove off, I hope the driver is shaking in his shoes.
It's a shame there aren't any CCTV cameras in the area, Squiggle. It's wrong that the driver should get away with it.

How awful !! Maybe there is CCTV, worth checking out. Its a hit and run isnt it?
That would be up to my grandson, I know he's not in the mood to think about it now. You are both right that is what should be done but I don't suppose my grandson will pursue it. Thank you both anyway
Oh no CCTV, thats a nuisance

I feel angry on his behalf, but I guess the important thing is that he recovers quickly.

I agree xx

I lurk on DS sometimes and they were all talking about the stupid voice she has been using recently.
I want something to eat, and I'm considering making some toasted cheese.
I love cheese!! Trying to cut it down, but failing! Got some Garlic Philly, its nice, going to have some after my bath. Long lie tomorrow yipee! Wee one with nana till Sunday morning
I haven't had cheese for months but I am sorely tempted tonight.
Enjoy your long lie in the morning and your day to yourself.
Off for some toasted cheese a bath, goodnight all.

Go for it! Grill it till it bubbles, so the fat is destroyed! A little bit wont hurt
Off for a bath, will say goodnight all. Take care
Good morning everyone
Sunny morning here and no sign of any fog.
Squiggle, I'm sorry to hear about your grandson I hope they catch the van driver who clearly should be banned from driving.
Summer, it takes nearly 3 hours to get from Ilfracombe to Cardiff, the Cardiff hit and runs started at just before 3.30 so unless Squiggle's grandson was hit at the very latest 1pm, it's probably not the same driver.
Good morning everyone. Weather was very foggy last night but is brighter this morning.
Summer, I'm sure the people in the dry cleaners appreciated you telling them about the stain. Is Mr summer feeling any better this morning? Migranes can be so debilitating, can't they?
Skylark, I had my toasted cheese (only one slice) and I did make the cheese bubbly - yummy!
Sorry Summer, I forgot to ask if your bug had disappeared yet, are you feeling better today?
Good morning everyone, what a treat to have some dry weather at last, the sky is icy blue this morning and there are white yachts sailing about on the sea, very pretty.
Summer I hope your bug is clearing up. Yogi your cheese on toast sounds yummy, I have two pieces of cheese each week, I go for those mini cheddar things, just enough for a taste. Enjoy your lovely lazy day Skylark.
EL from the sound of it I reckon my grandson would have been hit by that van before 1pm so it is certainly possible, although it sounds silly to think the guy would have driven all the way up the M5 and M4 without incident and gone to Cardiff.l
Enjoy your day everyone.
I thought this was lovely
Yes it does remind a bit of The Waltons, I loved them too and I have first series box set to work my through when I get the odd minute.
It reminded me of Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory too (I hated the Johnny Depp version) all the grandparents in bed
