Those are beautiful bows Summer, they look very professional
Hi everyone. Packing is almost complete and paperwork in order I'm not sure if I will be able to post while I'm on holiday, so I will wish Mr Summer a very Happy Birthday for Saturday
Summer, the bows are lovely, you are so good at making things.
Squiggle, I liked the post about walking in other people's shoes before judging them
Skylark, you wouldn't want any ice cream if you we're over here today. Brrrrr! Catch up with you all next week, if not before
Have a lovely holiday Yogi, soon you will needing sunscreen not a jumper
we will be thinking of you - you will be turning brown and we will be green with envy
Good morning everyone
Dry at present but quite cloudy. Rain is expected from later this afternoon.
I am just about to take my car in for MOT and annual service so I will be out quite a lot of today as it takes time to get back from the car place and this afternoon when I expect to go back to pick the car up. I'm not expecting anything horrific from the MOT.
at Summer's picture of Mr Yogi.
Morning
Have a superdooper holiday Yogi
Hope all goes well with the MOT El
Well done with the bows Summer, the red one looks the best
Terrible news about this wee girl going missing from Wales. Praying for her safe return
Good morning everyone, good luck with the MOT EL, I am sure you won't need good luck but anyway it's always a bit of an anxious time. Rainy as per usual, anyone else fed up with the rain?
I haven't yet heard about the wee girl missing Skylark, I will have a look, always horrible to hear things like that.
Yogi, I hope you have a great holiday
I'm back from dropping the car off and expect to go out to collect it later this afternoon.
It's terrible news this morning with the 5 year old girl (April Jones) being abducted. It's a small community, about 2,100 people living there and there is real community spirit with hundreds of them volunteering to search for April.
This is her in the coat (on the left) she was wearing at the time:
Hi Summer, feeling a lot better now thanks. I got that message this morning x
No i am not on the "men,s" but know what you mean What Christmas mischief are you up to now?
Granddaughter had a great time, but weather was awful and has returned with new wellies which had to be bought. Unfortunately a cold too and a bit of a cough, but she is fine. Hope you not working too hard
I've just come back from picking up the car - ÂĢ260 this time which is more than last time but could have been worse.
The rain stayed off until I reached the car place but started on the way back. Could be quite wet for the next few hours here but I'm back home.
Skylark, I'm pleased your granddaughter had a great time, but am not surprised she caught a cold - it's that time of year (but then with the summer we've had, there's been bugs all year long).
Hi El, cant really comment on the cost, as i dont drive nor have a car, but thats it done for another year
Keeping a check on granddaughter, as asthma in the family, but just a cold i think. As you say its just been a year for bugs.
Glad you are home and you can settle now
I am glad you have the car back EL, and as Skylark says it is done and done with for another year.
Sorry to hear about the wee one, all this wet weather I am not surprised she has picked up a bug, hope she feels better soon.
Hi squiggle, yes she is fine, gave her an extra cuddle today
She is very prone to colds, she has a good diet etc. She still causing trouble jumping around, so she is well!
Hope you have had a good day yourself and keeping well
Good morning everyone
After more rain ovenight, it's dry at present, may be showers but today's forecast is better than it was and Thursday looks OK as well. Next batch of heavy rain is forecast for Friday which covers the southern half of the country.
The wreath is coming on a treat Summer, I love that whirly effect. Are you going to spray the pine cones gold or silver? That could look lovely.
Very showery here, outlook still very unsettled, sadly.
I am glad the wee one is a little brighter Skylark and as you say it's a good sign that she's bouncing around. Yesterday was a difficult day, 3 years since I lost my husband, always a difficult day and I am glad it's behind me for another year.
Summer, well done on your progress
The ÂĢ260 covered the full annual service, and there were bits which needed to be done such as replacing wipers, and one of the pieces of plastic trim on the rear passenger door had become loose and had to be replaced - they said it couldn't be just glued down.

Your wreath is looking very good Summer, I like the frosty look of this one so perhaps a little frosting might be good? Just a thought.
Thank you for your kind post, it's beautiful. I posted this on my FB page yesterday, it brought a tear to my eye, beautiful thought.
Squiggle, a heart felt poem and very fitting.
I like your picture as well.
You may have seen this in the papers a few days ago, but it is worth seeing:
"Could this be the most beautiful building in Britain?
Every inch of this 15th-century cottage in Llanrwst in North Wales is covered in Virginia Creeper, and the leaves turning from summer green to autumnal copper red makes for a spectacular sight.
Formerly a courthouse, the cottage is now home to the Tu Hwnt iâr Bont tea rooms â and itâs especially busy at this time of year, with tourists keen to admire the charming colours itâs draped in.
Word has it that they also drop in to taste the delicious scones.
The building, which stands next to the River Conwy, is owned by the National Trust."

It is amazing.
I saw that in the paper EL, it is magnificent. It made me smile a little though because we had Virginia Creeper coming over our fence at our old house and my hubby went mad cutting it back because he said it would take over. I always thought it was pretty
Good morning everyone
Not warm outside at present, but it's a nice sunny morning and should be dry for the bulk of the day. Heavy rain is forecast for overnight.
The American authorities have fined an American woman $163 million for her involvement in conning people into buying pointless software claiming problems with their computers.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-19816710
Let's hope the authorities take similar action against all other scammers.
Good morning everyone, dry here at the moment but you know it will not last
Wow EL the American authorities don't muck about well done to them I wonder if there is any chance of them getting the money, or will she just be allowed to go bankrupt?
Hi all, have granddaughter off nursery with this cold and cough. Keeping me busy. Will try to pop in later.
Squiggle
Hi Skylark, is the wee one getting better? These things can be hard to shake off can't they? And I am sure all this wet weather isn't helping.
Squiggle, the chances are that the American woman will just become bankrupt and the authorities will get what assets she has. I doubt if she has that level of assets. She has also been prohibited from attempting to sell security software. The important thing is that it will send a strong warning to other scammers around the world. As we know the US is very willing to try to extradite people from all over the world if the authorities consider that anything has been done affecting US establishments or citizens.
Skylark, I hope your granddaughter gets better soon and that you don't catch her bug
Squiggle, a nice picture. Did you know that if you right click on a picture here which has been scaled down to fit, then select View Image, you can see the picture at full size. The only thing is that you then need to click the "Go back one page" icon Firefox (Back icon in IE) in the browser bar to return here.
