It's that ID 10 T problem again isn't it Yogi, do you remember?

Very very cold here this morning feels more like December than September, it's dry so far but that's the only good thing you could say about it.  I think I will hibernate

If I was appointed you would be able to see me on television. It would make international headlines - "Parrot appointed as the next Archbishop of Canterbury". There are those who might say that a parrot would make as much sense

I happened to see the last bit of Antiques Road Trip yesterday evening on BBC2. The 2 antique experts both start of with ÂĢ200 to buy some antiques, then take them off to auction. The proceeds are then carried forward to the next day for the 2 experts to repeat the process. After a few days (I don't know how many), the winner is obviously the person who has done best with the initial ÂĢ200.

Yesterday's edition (which is a repeat so you may have seen it before) is a must see for what happens at the auction and is really worth watching.

If you don't want to watch the whole hour, just watch the auction which starts at 48 minutes. It will make your day.

ROFL Squiggle at the ID 10 T problem. I am a complete dunce with all things techie, thank goodness my sons are clued up.

Courier company sent an email, telling me the parcel will arrive between 3.30 and 4.30 this afternoon. If it does arrive during those times, I will be extremely impressed. Skylark, I hope the tickets arrive quickly

El, I shall make no comment on a parrot as an archbishop

Summer, are the trains back on schedule for your mum's trip home?

Thats good Yogi that you have a time, hopefully they will keep to it. No sign of gig tickets, they should have arrived by now. I have emailed asking when we can expect the tickets. He paid for recorded delivery which means someone has to be in to sign. it will just be like the thing that we will be out and have to trek to the sorting office  to collect them

It's sooooooo annoying when that happens.

Do you remember when I missed going to see the Olympic torch when it went through my old home town, because I had to wait in on parcels arriving (alloy wheels for eldest son's car and he doesn't even live here!)? They never arrived on that day so I missed the torch for nothing - and finally arrived a week later.

Great  Seems a bit daft waiting for the time, but can understand them wanting to keep to the timetable.

Good morning everyone. Weather is breezy and showers are forecast. Squiggle, my youngest son captured and released a gigantic spider last night - you would have been proud of him In fact, it is the second one he has removed this week Mr Yogi claimed to have removed one recently which was "as big as a rat" but he is prone to exaggeration

Good morning everyone, it has been raining this morning and we were promised a dry day, oh yes I think the forecast got out of that one by saying everywhere except the extreme north west coast - in other words right over me

Yogi I think Mr Yogi's rat size spider wouldn't fit in my spider catcher - well done your son the spiders are looking for luuuurve doncha know

Well they won't find any spider love in my house.

Good morning Lol El, a wonderful idea but you're right, the Xmas pudding pancake doesn't look good! I think a small pudding shaped pudding with a sprig of holly on top, in the middle of the pancake, would have looked far more appetising Well done on rehoming the spider yogi & co. I have noticed they're about a lot more lately! I don't mind, as long as they're not in the bedroom
~Sparkling Summer~

Talking of large spiders and getting rid of them, an old song title went through my mind - Ta-Ra-Ra Boom-de-ay! (tarantula and boom) though the song has nothing to do with spiders.

Here's a clip of the song. It's sung by Mary Martin and comes from a 1943 film called Happy Go Lucky. In my computer, this particular video clip took longer than normal to load - nothing to do with my computer though.
