Good news about the new heater Summer
LOL at the picture, EL and Summer it gave me such a laugh to start my Monday, just imagine the poor postie with this pumpkin with a stamp stuck on it
Now I have to think of two little books to send with my reply for my little letter writer and his brother. I will have to go off and look at the Amazon website. Evidently his brother is mad keen on info about severe weather, like tornados and things. Any suggestions of kiddies books that come to mind would be gratefully received.
Squiggle, this is your atarting point on the Amazon website:

Sorry Squiggle, I missed your post earlier. How lovely to be asked to be the honorary penfriend grandmother to your friend's son, I think it's really sweet.
Thank you so much for the wonderful link EL I believe that it has led me to the perfect book on twisters and strange weather phenomena.
Thank you, Squiggle. I hope your pen friend likes what you've chosen.
Good morning everyone, similar weather here to yours EL, it's breezy too.
I think you will like this little BBC news item. Well done Artin

Both lovely clips EL, Artin is very inspiring and the liliger cub is soooo cute!.
Harvey is good at lying on your feet and keeping them warm, shall I send him down to you?
Oh no, Summer! I'd stick her in a bath and then make sure there are no maggots still sticking to her.
Her dog is gorgeous, and she does make a beautiful bride.
I'm not a fan of Peaches but she has impeccable taste in dogs, and she did make a lovely bride.
Someone here is eating these:
You know who you are
Summer, in case you didn't see my post in the GaGa Jury thread, you can get Jeff Ashton's book, "Imperfect Justice" for the ipad, it's only ÂĢ3.99.
Hope Miss Bramble is less stinky now.
Off to bed, goodnight and sweet dreams, Summer.
Good morning everyone
Sunny morning here, but not warm.
Channel 4 are showing today the 1995 film "The Englishman who went up a hill, but came down a mountain", starting at 1.20 this afternoon. Stars Hugh Grant and Tara Fitzgerald, and is semi-based on fact. It's not a great film but is pleasant and is closer in feel to some of the Ealing comedies where communities pull together.
Good morning everyone, I'm glad that Bramble behaved herself, especially after rolling around in disgusting stuff yesterday I wonder why these things smell good to them
The brekkie looks delish, thank you. I have seen that movie EL, it was very enjoyable and I can still remember it quite well.
Skylark hope you slept well.
I'm with you Summer, I don't do creepy nightmare inducing things, I'm a wimp.
Hope it's a good day everyone, and this is for all of you
Thank you Summer for a yummy breakfast and thank you squiggle for your picture and message
I can now reveal to you that on Saturday at the vicar's farewell service we had a surprise visitor. As I was walking to the church on the way there I saw a large car with a very well known person in the back. It was closely followed by another large car in which I could see robes and some spectacular other things. When I got to the church I saw that the Queen with crown and orb was being escorted into the church and that the church was packed with people. I could hardly get inside.
I then woke up
Good morning everyone. the sun was shining when I rose but it's raining now. I think sunshine and showers were forecast.
Squiggle, that's a lovely poem, and I return the sentiment to you.
Summer, I'm pleased Bramble behaved overnight - especially after her stinky episode earlier in the day. She has redeemed herself.
Lovely breakfast, thank you. Good luck with the windows! I think I have tried every window cleaning product on the market - and I still streak them.
I hope your mum has a lovely visit with you.
El, I have never seen that film all the way through so I have set the V+ to record it - thanks for the heads up.
You had me going for a minute, El.
Yogi, that was a genuine dream I had
There was s short item on the news at lunchtime about a fire tornado in Australia. It's very rare luckily. It's because it's been so dry there. I found this 4 minute clip of the tornado which has been posted by Chris Tangey who is the man who filmed it near Mount Conner. It's better than the news item as it's virtually silent apart from the roar of the flames.
