Morning x
I saw Paul O'Grady too. wasnt that awful to do that to Sparkles. It had me in tears. But what a lovely character, still wagging her tail Such cruelty is beyond belief. I read Paul kept having to stop filming he was swearing too much in anger. He does such a lot for animal charities, he got his OBE for it. Or maybe it was a CBE.
My sister on her way down with all the gossip about her holiday and wants a decent cup of tea!
Have a good day xx
As we have started a new page, I will re-post this tribute. On the date of this terrible anniversary, and in solidarity with our American hosts
Yogi hope all the is finished now.
Love that smiley, Squiggle. I did complete the big pile of ironing yesterday - I watched Bletchley Circle as I ironed, which helped to relieve the boredom.
I am rubbish with dates, in fact sometimes I don't know what day it is, so I hadn't realised it was the anniversary of 9/11 until I saw your post.
Remembering all those who lost their lives and were injured, and their families.
Skylark, have a lovely gossipy time with your sister, and drink lots of cups of tea.
Summer, I look forward to seeing pics of your Christmas wreath, I'm sure it will be nicer than the florist bought ones - and less expensive, too. I hope Mr Summer never uses the rude florist shop again!
Summer, the client is the big one that I work on at this time of year and will keep me busy for the next few weeks. It's far too big and complex for me to be able to work from printed reports. If I printed out their nominal ledger it would be about 350 pages long. There's also a sale ledger, a purchase ledger, and because it is in the construction business there is also a contracts ledger. It's the only client I deal with which is like this, the others are easier and I could work from paperwork. At a guess if I printed out all the various ledgers it would be over 1000 pages

Summer, this is the link for the Christmas cards on Dogs Trust, I forgot to post it earlier for you. The Border Terrier one is about halfway down the page.
It was announced today that 50 forms of cancer would be added to the list of illnesses for the people who was involved in 9/11 would be covered by the 9/11 health programme. It's because of the toxic dust resulting from 9/11.
That's tragic, as if they hadn't been through enough.
I wonder who will be voted the BBC Sports Personality of the year this year. A few weeks ago Bradley Wiggins and Mo Farah must have been strong possibilities but after last night Andy Murray must also be a strong possibility. Time will tell. Odds at present still show Bradley Wiggins as the favourite.
It will be a difficult choice, as there are so many worthy contenders this year, El.
Did any of you spot this news item about a 90 year old man who has enjoyed a pint every day at the same pub for the last 72 years. A special plaque has been put on his favourite chair at the pub.

The Radio 4 news on at present has just talked about who will be Sports Personality of the year. They must have spotted my post above
Nice story about Arthur.
So your influence is reaching Radio 4 now, El.
Lovely story EL, thanks for sharing, I must say Arthur looks well on it.
That's one very cute kitten.
Sylvester and Tweety Pie is a blast from the past, El.
Lovely EL I enjoyed that
Morning
Chilly here this morning. Lovely pics
Got to go into town later, cant be bothered!! I feel like having a lazy day.
Have a good one whatever you are up to x
Good morning everyone
Sunny but quite cool here this morning.
A bit late on this morning (for me), I had to reinstall my firewall/anti-virus software as an error message had appeared today and yesterday. I suspect this was as a result of all the problems I had with the client software.
Summer, that is your best photo of Bramble to date . Could win cute pet photo of the year.
Good morning everyone, cute picture of Bramble, she looks very relaxed.
I hope that's the end of the computer hassle now EL and you can get on without incident today.
I hope you feel more like going into town later Skylark, is it something you could put off until another day?
Who's your friend EL?
Squiggle, that's El Gordo. I've known him for years and we used to work together. I may well see him again next week on a tax course.
A lovely pic of Bramble! I have a bed-set just like that Summer. I got mine from BHS
Squiggle, yes i have managed to get out of going into town It was to pick up a letter. Sister going up anyway so she will pick it up. She comes in handy sometimes
@ El
Good afternoon everyone. The sun is shining atm - long may it last.
Summer, what a brilliant pic of Bramble. She looks very settled there, so maybe Mr Summer will have to fight for his side of the bed tonight.
El Gordo looks very nice.
Hi Yogi x
I have been cleaning out my hall cupboard. Two sets of golf clubs not going back in. Either son sorts it out into one set or the whole lot going to the charity shop And the mountain bike that i am tired of seeing, that is going to be fixed but never has been
End of rant !!
I know where you are coming from, Skylark. Mr Yogi had a set of golf clubs for years and never used them. When we floored the loft, I insisted he got rid of them. He put them on Gumtree and they sold quite quickly.
My hubby was just the same, do you think it's a male thing?
My hubby was just the same, do you think it's a male thing?
I'm not sure - my mother was a bit of a hoarder and kept many things in case they ever came in handy. When I was clearing their house I came across things such as 20 spectacles cases, 20 old broken watches, lots and lots of empty pill bottles, and empty cardboxes for things which they had bought over the years in case they ever came in handy.
Good idea Yogi, i shall nag advice him to put them on Gumtree

I dont know squiggle. I tend to keep things too for ages. its only when i put things out or in Charity shops someone seems to be looking for the item.I say if you only had asked earlier blah blah. Isnt that always the way ?

I'm a bit of a hoarder too - but I only keep "useful" things.
Or sentimental things.
Away to pick up Granddaughter and out for tea later with nana at Frankie and Bennys
