A fairly sunny morning here, it looks as if the weather will be reasonably dry this coming week which should help the harvesting in this part of the country.

An interesting bit of information for any of you who watch Doctor Who. If you saw the opening episode of the new series on Saturday you might have been a bit puzzled as to why the actress who played the part of Oswin is not listed in the Radio Times (and probably the other magazines etc) in the credits. This was done deliberately.

 

Very big spoiler which I will put in white text so it doesn't appear. Highlight the following lines if you want to see what the spoiler is.

The part of Oswin is played by Jenna-Louise Coleman. This is not the last we see of Jenna-Louise Coleman as she plays the part of Clara who is the new assistant and will be first seen in the Christmas Day episode. I don't know if there is any connection between Oswin and Clara.

Weather here been lovely. Granddaughter enjoyed her party. Seems all the kids in her nursery have birthdays one after another. Its just  a round of parties! 
Was hoping to take her to the firework display to end the festival, but she was too tired by that time (9pm)

A bittersweet story, squiggle.

 

A walker in Dartmoor had seen the mare and foal 5 days before they arrived at the farm. He had taken the first two pictures as he was concerned and passed them to Charlotte Faulkner of the Dartmoor Pony Foundation. So they kept an eye out for the mare and foal but didn't see them again until they arrived at the farm.

I thought the mother showed great courage EL, those ponies never go in by themselves, they are rounded up annually to count and possibly brand the foals.  She has thought it through and made a courageous decision, I can only hope she was not in too much pain as she made her final journey.

Christmas?! Evening all, another busy day. Thank goodness it's the last like that! even my colleague came in on her day off!!!! I think I could be in for a few more busy days- adults who couldn't get in while we had lots of kids in.. I'm just pleased its not irate mothers any more How is everyone? I've been doing my dog daycare today, and am happy to report there were no escapes.

Aaaah, progress well done to mr yogi on a successful fence Is Houdini still looking for his escape route? Bramble has a new, very high pitched squeaky toy, she absolutely loves it. I had to hide it earlier though because it will dement us otherwise, she's been looking all over for it since!

Yes, he still checks out the perimeter, looking for an escape route.

I always rationed squeaky toys - or accidentally lost them. Luckily, as she got older, Keira developed a preference for soft toys (she has dozens of them).
