How is your grandson getting on? 

Fab pic squiggle. We had thunder and lightning yesterday, very powerful , but thats awesome. Summer has gave me new words ! x 

He is loving it, working really hard, and one of the best things is they get paid weekly so no having to wait a month for his money.

Blue sky, hardly a cloud in the sky, but the coldest night for some time. Apparently in parts of the country it's broken the record for the coldest August night on record. Warmer by tonight.

I was able to try out the DVD hard drive yesterday and it was fine both in recording and play back.

El, good to hear the Panasonic DVD recorder is a good one. As I mentioned, I've had two DVD recorders and both stopped working (just outside the guarantee period) but if I do decide to get another one, I'll definitely look at the Panasonic ones.

Good morning everyone, a bright but cold morning. The sky looks huge this morning filled with white fluffy clouds.

 

Yogi it's well worthwhile if you are ever buying anything to check with Amazon first.  Even if you don't buy from them their reviews section will fill you in on what others have found and stop you from making expensive errors.

 

So glad the recorder is working well, it is going to be so much easier to manage your saved films.  How many films do you estimate it would hold EL?

Squiggle, theoretically at the slowest speed I could store 441 hours on my recorder but I'm unlikely to store anything like that much. From my experiences, recorders have a limited life span and if I wanted to have something more permanent I'd rather have it on DVD.

Great picture squiggle 
Well i have had one of "those" mornings. Went to pick up my repeat prescription. It wasnt there, must have got lost i was told. Receptionist told me to take a seat and she would get the duty doctor to print out another one. One hour and 25 mins later i finally got it. Took it to the chemist, the computer was down, so off i went to another one, told it would be up to an hour. Said i would do some shopping and come back. Went to an atm to get some cash, it took my card. Bank wouldnt give me it back as i had no ID on me.  Had to come home to get some ID so will go up now to get my card back.  Oh and son text me , he has lost his keys. I can only hope the day gets better !!!
