Good morning everyone

Sunny here at present, may be a shower later, wet tomorrow.

Summer, I have no idea as to who might be going in CBB. I hope none of the Olympic athletes go in as I don't think that would do their reputation any good. I think they will be wanting to spend time with their families and recharge their batteries.

Morning cloudy here, we didn't get the predicted rain yesterday, I'm wondering if it will arrive today El, I quite agree that going into CBB wouldn't do an athletes reputation any good its gone so far downhill recently that I wonder if any decent celebs would actually want to venture in there. I still hope it's a good crop of people, I would like to enjoy the show again
~Sparkling Summer~

Good morning everyone, a bright cool morning here.  I hope CBB turns out better than the ordinary BB was, I thought it was the worst contestants ever this year.

Twinkle twinkle little star - amazing picture, The Hubble Space Telescope captured the shot of what appears to be thousands of cameras flashing at once, but is in fact Messier 107, a cluster of stars which is the most ancient in the galaxy.

I love the star pic, Squiggle.

Summer, I still hate the Houdini fencing but I'm sure I'll get used to it - eventually!

El, I think I can see a face in the stars but I'm not sure it's the same one you can see.

This is the one I mean:

Woohoo, that's the same one I spotted, El.

Hi Yogi, erm yes ! Hope he enjoys his holiday with his sparkly, nice smelling clothes! x
My son came back minus a few t-shirts. He met a young local boy on crutches because of a deformed leg. He took a liking to his t-shirts so he gave him some, probably too big but he was full of smiles.  On the last day the lads gave him some money and a pile of fruit and sweets. I was like  when he was telling me of the wee soul.

Skylark, I am going off Emmerdale. I don't like Laurel and Marlon together, I don't like what they are doing to Paddy's character and I hate the Mucky Moira and the toyboy storyline. Nearly forgot, I don't like the Chas and Dan storyline either.

My son and Dil are nipping in for a cuppa, so I may not be back tonight. Have a good evening all, and see you tomorrow.

I so agree with you both I was talking to the telly   Horrible storylines in there at the moment.  To be honest I have never liked Paddy and just wish he would push off to NZ with his horrible G/F, they have both treated Marlon like a mug.  Fed up with the whole Eric triangle too and the new mum from hell who has arrived.  One bright note, Marlon's son, that little boy playing his son really likes the actor who plays Marlon doesn't he?

Your son is very kind Skylark, I love that.

Night night to you both

Editted on request - hope I've got it right.

Good morning everyone

Tucks into Summer's brekkie   Yummy

Dry at present, but cloudy. The rain is coming with the heaviest around lunchtime. Tomorrow should be OK, but Friday looks as if it will be raining much of the day here.

The neighbours spent yesterday painting their walls, and look as if they have finished the first coat. If they are intending to do a second coat, I doubt if they can do it today.

Skylark, I hope your granddaughter liked Brave. I wonder how many young girls in Scotland will take up archery as a result of the film. I see on IMDB that one of the characters in it is called Lord MacGuffin. That name would mean little to a lot of people, but is a direct reference to Alfred Hitchcock's films.

From IMDB:

In fiction, particularly film, a MacGuffin refers to something that both the protagonist is trying to get, and the antagonist trying to prevent him getting. Alfred Hitchcock is credited with popularized the term by telling a story about two men sharing a compartment in a train. When the second man enters, he places a strange-looking contraption on the luggage rack overhead. The first man asks him what the contraption is. The second man says "It's a MacGuffin." First Man: "What's a MacGuffin?" Second Man: It's a device for trapping lions on the Scottish Highlands." First Man; "But there are no lions in the Scottish Highlands." Second Man: "Well, then, that's no MacGuffin."
