I wish it was, but it will go on all week. They've been at it for around 3 hours and  are still working on the back of the house, then there's the side of the house overlooking our drive and the front of the house, and that's just getting rid of the exisiting rendering.

I can! I checked the airport arrivals many times

Lashing rain here now, dog all ready for her walk, she will have to wait.

You remind me of my mother in the past when she would agitate when my brother was coming back from holiday waiting for his phonecall to say he had arrived back safely.

Yes squiggle , he has lots!

I've just had a phone call from a client. He's another accountant and quite often rings me for accounts and tax technical help. His query this time was nothing to do with accounts or tax but with his computer.

His keyboard had been working OK, but it suddenly started acting oddly. When he pressed the number 0 this came out as /. An i became a 5 and the letter o became a 6.

I hadn't come across this before but a quick google search gave the answer. He uses a laptop and had accidentally turned the numlock on. On his laptop it turns part of the ordinary keyboard into a number keyboard.

Will you have her spayed, or do you think you might like her to have puppies when she's older?

Not sure yet yogi, mr summer had his lurched spayed and regretted it. We'd never breed her until she was at least 3 though so plenty of time to think on it yet. Did Keira get done?

Sweet dreams

Good morning all. The sun is shining this morning, with cloud forecast for the afternoon.

Summer, we weren't sure what to do about spaying Keira, as we hadn't had our first retriever done. However, Keira had an awful first season - she is very feathered at the back and it was like Nightmare on Elm Street - so we had a chat with the vet about getting her done. Vet said, if we had no intention of breeding her (which we didn't) then spaying was a good idea. Not only did it mean we wouldn't have to worry about her accidentally getting "caught" but it also reduced the risk of pyometra when she was older. So we had her done when she was 11 months old.

Good morning everyone

Very cloudy here, it rained overnight, and looks as if there will be more rain today.

The workmen next door have removed the rendering from the back, so they will start on the side overlooking the drive today. It's going to take longer than anticipate. The weather is not going to help matters. I assume they can remove the old rendering, but I don't think they can put on the new rendering until there's some dry weather. Looking at the present forecast, it could be some time before there's dry weather, unlikely to be any until next week.

It's a pity they didn't do it last week.

Good morning everyone, drizzly here.  That sounds such a nuisance to have to live next door to EL.  Do you think it will be noisy and messy when they put the new rendering on too?

I agree about spaying, our dog was male as you know but we looked after my sister's Scotty bitch when she went on holiday and wouldn't you know it she came into season and it was a nightmare, every dog in the neighbourhood was trying to get at her   This was before we had Ben.

Good morning Sunny here I hope it lasts so I can picnic with bramble at lunch time! Yogi, thanks for the info about Keira, I think if there's no intention of breeding then spaying is definitely the right choice I'm not sure what to expect when Bramble is in season, I may get one of those extending leads to use at the park in case any boy dogs appear, bramble would run off to them Squiggle how's your grandson? Is he sore? El I hope the work on the house gets done nice and smoothly and gets done ASAP I dare say your house will be dusty for a little whole no matter what you do Skylark, is your house peaceful this morning?
