You little minx, you got us all excited.
Lol just been looking around for a hat too, only got witches ones and Santas
Santa hat skylark!
If I were going to have a wedding, with a theme, a Christmas one would be tremendous!
I'm off to the land of dreams (real ones, not my usual daydreams )
Sleep well yogi & skylark
If it aint broke and all that ..................
Goodnight Summer, sleep well , and have nice dreams
Christmas wedding, now that's an excellent idea.
Goodnight Summer, sweet dreams.
I'm signing out too, got a busy day tomorrow. If I don't manage to sign in, have a good day tomorrow everyone.
Goodnight Skylark, sweet dreams.
Good morning everyone
I think it's going to be a rather showery day here today.
Skylark, I've found a hat for you:
Good morning everyone, a bright breezy morning at the moment.
All I am saying Summer is that we would love to help you plan a wedding, a Christmas theme would be lovely and we would be ever such a big help - looks hopefully at Summer And yes then you could honeymoon in Yosemite, you know you want to after reading about it and seeing EL's vid
I don't even have a clue as to who went last night they're an uninteresting bunch.
I hope the sun shines on you today whatever you are up to
I wonder if this will be popular - an umbrella which plays tinkly music whenever raindrops fall on it
I don't think the umbrella would be very practical EL as it would make me want to stuff it into the nearest litter bin well before 5 minutes were up

I agree, it would drive me round the bend, though I imagine that toddlers might like them.
Evening all.
Had a lovely day with my family. Thank you Skylark, son had a great day, even though we stuck a birthday banner on the door and made him wear a huge birthday badge.
Goodnight all, see you tomorrow.
Morning
You on the go early this morning Summer! Lovely breakfast x
Glad you had a nice time Yogi, never too old for a Birthday badge
Thanks for the hat El, dont think its weddingy tho
Off to Church this morning and then going to the cinema. Booked tickets for Top Cat, not very good reviews but i am sure we will enjoy it.
Have a great day all x
Good morning everyone
Dry and sunny here but a bit windy. Possibly showers later, but the forecast from Monday onwards is rain every day here.
It was quite remarkable, the way they were able to script the match between Murray and Baghdatis last night. It had seemed unlikely that the match would be finished yesterday when the 4th set started. The first 3 sets each lasted between 53 and 59 minutes. The 4th set started at 10.36 and under local rules the match had to end at 11.00 though a couple of minutes over were acceptable. Murray was able to blitz his way through the set 6-1 in just 26 minutes finishing at 11.02.
Summer, thanks for a yummy breakfast
Skylark, I hope you have a good day and that you and your granddaughter enjoy Top Cat
Good morning everyone, a bit of a dismal morning, windy like where EL lives, what a wash-out of a summer so far.
Thank you for the delicious breakfast Summer, hope you have a good time. I am sure you will love Top Cat Skylark, I don't think the reviews are always right. I am glad your son had a good birthday Yogi, as EL says you are never too old for a birthday badge.
Good morning everyone. Weather is dry atm, with showers forecast for later today.
Thank you for the lovely breakfast, Summer. No prizes for guessing what I chose.
Skylark, I hope you and your granddaughter enjoy Top Cat, and I agree with Squiggle, the reviews aren't always right.
If I'm intending to watch a film I try to treat critics' reviews with a certain amount of caution as sometimes they may say a film is brilliant and I find the film boring, and sometimes they say a film is dreadful but I enjoy it. With something like Top Cat, it's better to forget the original series and so keep an open mind.
The service at church this morning was a bit different as those families who had had a child baptised here in the last 3 years were invited, and although not everyone took up the invitation, quite a few did.
A couple of hymns from this service. Firstly this one. Although it's generally sung at Christmastime, there's nothing specifically Christmassy in it. The music is actually by Lowell Mason although it sounds more like Handel, and it does borrow from The Messiah.
And the second was this rousing song, and lots of
During the tea break in today's one day cricket international between England and Australia, one of the people interviewed on the radio was Adrian Evans who was the man who organised the recent Jubilee pageant on the Thames. He said that when he asked the Thames authorities if he could organise another pageant he was told "Yes, but in another 350 years"
If you missed the Thames Pageant, here it is, but just done a little bit faster
Hi Summer, glad you had a good day.
Got to dash off now, catch up tomorrow.
Goodnight everyone.
Good morning everyone
Cloudy here but dry -rain is forecast for later. Wimbledon looks wet for much of this week so I expect that most evenings this week the BBC evening schedules will be in complete chaos with most of the programmes being affected either being shown on a different channel or being shown at a different time or being shown at a leter date or just being cancelled. Cliff Richard is likely to be much in demand
Summer, Lori has missed out the please from your new temporary name - oops

I though it was a strange choice of name.
Good morning everyone. Raining again, up here.
I hope everyone is well and having better weather than me.
I liked the speeded-up version of the Thames Pageant, El.
Good morning everyone.
Daily report on the rain (because let's face it it is usually raining)
The rain is light and drizzly today, tune in tomorrow to see what sort of rain we are having then
I'm glad Yogi picked up on the mistake in your new name Summer, I was a bit at the choice. Glad you had a good trip Summer, hope granddaughter (and you) enjoyed Top Cat Skylark, and that you enjoyed church as well
Summer, there will be tennis on Centre Court as that will be covered, but the weather forecast at Wimbledon is bad and there is unlikely to be much if any play today or tomorrow. Wednesday looks slightly better but frequent showers. Thursday looks the best day this week. Friday back to frequent showers.
I don't know what the rules are relating to bad weather and Grand slam events. I tink they can spill over to Monday but that may not be enough. They may have to dispense with the doubles and junior events as that would bring the number of games to be played down to 30, have the ladies and gentlemens semi-finals on the same day (Sunday) and the finals on the Monday. Today through to Saturday - 3 games on Centre Court x 6 = 18, and try to get the other 6 games on Thursday which may be the only day which looks as if a near full day is available. So it can be done, but it would not go down well. Back in the 1960s, there were a couple of years where the Australian Open was abandoned due to bad weather.
Summer, at presnt only the administrators can change people's names here, community moderators can't, The reason is that the name changing would be done on the member's profile page which also shows the member's email address, along with post code if members have put theirs in. There would be a lot of upset if people knew we could see other peoples email addresses and post codes.
Summer, as a tribute to your new name, I'm having this as part of my lunch
Afternoon everyone
We go through a lot of that variety of yoghurt here! I dont like it tho , i wish i did.
Rain here , when will it stop!!
Enjoyed Top Cat , i liked the old cartoon format, rather than the new graphics we have now. The voices were very good too, considering they werent the originals, well i think thats the case anyway. There were a few times tho, when the voices and mouths werent in sync, which was a bit off putting . It was translated from Mexican? i believe . But Top Cat is still cool Granddaughter enjoyed it too.
Yes i enjoyed the Church squiggle, i have been wanting to go back for a long time, so it was good i bumped into that chap to push me along. It wasnt so daunting walking in when i knew he was there. I was made to feel very welcome and stayed for tea after the service, which they do every Sunday, apparently, so thats a nice way to have a natter and get to know people. Have been invited to various outreach groups, but i shall take one step at a time, for the time being anyway x
HI Summer, yes i wondered about your new name! I imagine Lori was thinking you were being polite saying please, not thinking it was part of your new name. i am sure she will sort it
