Yosemite was my favourite bit of the book (well one of them, I loved her arrival) and yes I too would love to go to Yosemite, I have seen some wonderful pictures taken by the pastor of my former church who was a very talented photographer.
I saw the new National Lottery advert yesterday evening - this is the full length version.
Has the potential to become one of the classic ads. Ignore the part of the title about Abbot Mead Vickers - that's the ad agency.
I like that advert, it's definitely one of the better ads of recent years.
Goodnight all, see you tomorrow.
See you tomorrow Yogi
Good morning everyone
Cloudy and windy, but dry at present. Looks as if Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire and parts of Manchester could be getting over 4 inches of rain today and overnight - that could well lead to major flooding. North Wales is also likely to be very wet but isn't shown as at the same level of risk.
Summer, I like your idea - go for it
It's a great plan, especially if we could all swan off to the shops and get ourselves a whole new wardrobe of 'leeeeesure wear' as the Americans say
Good morning everyone, it's been horribly wet and now it's horribly windy, plus sa change as the French say - ooh I am very cosmopolitan this morning
Good morning everyone. Weather is wet and miserable.
I like your plan, Summer - room for a small one in your suitcase?
I didn't know you were multi-lingual, Squiggle.
El, I've checked the extended forecast for my area - looks like rain until Wednesday.
Morning
Was up at 4am the rain was absolutely pelting down. It stopped but now raining heavily again and just had thunder
Have to go out to pick up sons levs, hoping it stops soon.
Love the plan Summer
Yogi, Monday and Tuesday seem to be better across the country according to the Met Office site. Wednesday, back to showers.
Skylark, Met Office looks as if the rain becomes lighter this afternoon in your area.

Good morning Skylark.
I keep reading levs as levis, and wonder why you are picking up jeans.

I think I prefer the Met Office forecast, at least I get a couple of days respite on there.

Thank goodness El, you should see it now
Hi Yogi, no levis lol. you have to order them, pay 10%, then pick them up. Have to pick them up today or lose the deposit

Could be worse if you were going to Kazakhstan and had to go in to pick up tenges

Away out now, a rowing boat would be helpful
No 5 please Summer, granddaughters birthday
Wedding anniversary date - number 29 for me please, Summer.
Rain has gone off and there are a few patches of blue sky.
I'll go for no. 1 I think, my eldest grandson's birthday, I was tempted to go for 22 which is my birthday but I suppose if you were stuck for a lucky star number that could come in handy.
Afternoon everyone
Bit of thunder but it's bark was worse than it's bite.
Hi all, never got the Lev,s the girl said they wont be in till Tuesday. I had a feeling she hadnt done it right. A bit annoying, but have plenty time, thank goodness. Son getting more when he gets paid, wont be going there !
Its stopped raining!!! Thanks for the rowing boat Summer
Hi Velvet, had a bit of thunder here too x
We had some thunder and lightening over this way too, Velvet, and then it bucketed down.
No thunder here today, cloudy and windy, but only a brief light shower.
I saw this comment on an accountancy website today.
"Two years ago I got 29 clients from a sole practioner who died because her sister liked my marketing and fixed-price ethos and suggested clients should call me."
Obviously tragic, but a bit of poor grammar has made that slightly amusing . The sister has a lot to answer for.
Oh dear El, but i did laugh
Granddaughter is settled with a DVD i bought...Yogi Bear, she loves it
Son out watching football, bliss

Your granddaughter has excellent taste.
@ El's post.
This evening I could hear the sound of what seemed to be a concert somewhere. I didn't know what it was so I thought I would do a spot of investigation.
I found out that there was a concert at Kingsholm stadium which is about a mile away. That's where the Gloucester team play rugby. The concert was a one off gig from someone one or two people might have heard of
Quite possibly the best known singer ever to have performed in Gloucester.
Tom can still belt out a good tune, El.
Off to bed, see you tomorrow.
El, Summer, Velvet and any other night owls.
