Good morning everyone

Cloudy and windy, but dry at present. Looks as if Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire and parts of Manchester could be getting over 4 inches of rain today and overnight - that could well lead to major flooding. North Wales is also likely to be very wet but isn't shown as at the same level of risk.

Summer, I like your idea - go for it

It's a great plan, especially if we could all swan off to the shops and get ourselves a whole new wardrobe of 'leeeeesure wear' as the Americans say

Good morning everyone, it's been horribly wet and now it's horribly windy, plus sa change as the French say - ooh I am very cosmopolitan this morning

good afternoon A mostly dry but overcast with drizzle showers day so far.. We're doing a 16 mile walk tomorrow, we'll most likely get wet! I don't mind, I have good waterproofs, I just hope it doesn't beat down in my face! They have lots of cake at various check points I'll pick up a euro lottery ticket later, if you all pick one number, I'll make a line of the collective I'm choosing 19, that's brambles birthday Hope you didn't get too wet this morning skylark

Hi all, never got the Lev,s the girl said they wont be in till Tuesday. I had a feeling she hadnt done it right. A bit annoying, but have plenty time, thank goodness. Son getting more when he gets paid, wont be going there !
Its stopped raining!!! Thanks for the rowing boat Summer

Hi Velvet, had a bit of thunder here too x

FM

No thunder here today, cloudy and windy, but only a brief light shower.

I saw this comment on an accountancy website today.

"Two years ago I got 29 clients from a sole practioner who died because her sister liked my marketing and fixed-price ethos and suggested clients should call me."

Obviously tragic, but a bit of poor grammar has made that slightly amusing . The sister has a lot to answer for.

This evening I could hear the sound of what seemed to be a concert somewhere. I didn't know what it was so I thought I would do a spot of investigation.

I found out that there was a concert at Kingsholm stadium which is about a mile away. That's where the Gloucester team play rugby. The concert was a one off gig from someone one or two people might have heard of

Quite possibly the best known singer ever to have performed in Gloucester.
