Incidentally talking of birds it is the baby robins that touch my heart. We have a baby outside all the time now, robin shaped but a brown chest at the moment, and the thing is they don't know how to catch worms. They know what their parents do, so they sit on the edge of the decking on what I call 'worm watch' and they might fly down and peck at the grass but the penny hasn't dropped yet about how you actually do it. I will them on and one day they will manage it, their poor tummies must be so empty until they learn though.
^^^^ Amazon and Play.com are my guilty pleasures.
I loved Lark Rise to Candleford, it's on my wishlist. I also have the first three series of The Waltons - I like the ones with the real original John Boy. When I was young, I wished I had a big brother like John Boy.
Aww, baby robins are so cute, I hope they master the art of worm-catching very soon. I had a family of Great Tits in the garden yesterday. The babies were still being fed by the parents. I love when they cheep and flutter their wings, as if to say "Feed me NOW!".
