Good morning everyone. It's raining up here.

I hope someone else hurries up and posts in this thread, otherwise I'll look like I'm talking to myself.

I was going to see the Olympic torch today but Mr Yogi, and my eldest son (who doesn't even live here!), have arranged for things to be delivered, so I need to wait in. Maybe the items will arrive early and I'll still be able to go see the torch - I'm not hopeful.

Yogi19

Good morning Yogi, I see we were posting at exactly the same time

If you can't get out to see the torch relay, you may be able to watch it online on the BBC website. Link to their webpage:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/torchrelay/day21

The times shown on the street by street tab are estimates only. In Gloucester the torch relay was about 8 minutes ahead of schedule which upset a lot of people who missed it as a result of arriving too late.

Good morning everyone, this is what it's like here

I am staying put hopefully and refusing to venture out, the windows and the garden are covered in shredded leaves as the wind has torn them from the trees and the beautiful lilies in the pond are lying flat.

Great pictures of the birds Yogi, I have never seen a redpoll here I hope the parcels arrive on time and you get to see the torch.

Summer!!  Remember to series link it you don't want to miss it it's so good.  That's a very good price that EL quotes though for getting it on DVD.

I hope the weather cheers up for everyone.

To quote a phrase from Larkrise to Candleford 'Amazon is my one weakness' in fact I bought the last series of Larkrise from there and have still to watch it, and also the early series of The Waltons, which I loved, and don't even get me started on books, I can spend loads of time just wandering and my wishlist grows and grows.

Incidentally talking of birds it is the baby robins that touch my heart.  We have a baby outside all the time now, robin shaped but a brown chest at the moment, and the thing is they don't know how to catch worms.  They know what their parents do, so they sit on the edge of the decking on what I call 'worm watch' and they might fly down and peck at the grass but the penny hasn't dropped yet about how you actually do it.  I will them on and one day they will manage it, their poor tummies must be so empty until they learn though.

^^^^ Amazon and Play.com are my guilty pleasures.

I loved Lark Rise to Candleford, it's on my wishlist. I also have the first three series of The Waltons - I like the ones with the real original John Boy. When I was young, I wished I had a big brother like John Boy.

Aww, baby robins are so cute, I hope they master the art of worm-catching very soon. I had a family of Great Tits in the garden yesterday. The babies were still being fed by the parents. I love when they cheep and flutter their wings, as if to say "Feed me NOW!".

Yogi, a shame about Bejewelled Blitz. There have been a couple of criticisms about the update put on the apps page so maybe the developers will put the old version back on.

It's nice to see areas which you are familiar with. When I started watching the relay in Gloucester I reckoned they should have been in the centre of Gloucester. But when I saw where they were I thought, there's something wrong here as they are going past the small park at the top of London Road and I was proved right when a few seconds later they turned left and went down the first part of Cheltenham Road which goes down quite a noticeable slope. AsI've already said they were 8 minutes ahead of schedule.

She needs sorting out!

Glad you had a nice walk with Bramble and the family.

Goodnight, sleep well Summer.

Good morning everyone

Summer, I can't imagine who you mean by who called in sick - as Yogi says - she needs sorting out.

I'm glad I haven't been staying in Aberystwyth - it's been ultra wet there with people having to be rescued by airlift from flooded caravan parks, though everyone is safe.

Here it looks as if it will be dry today and although it's still breezy, the wind has died down.

Good morning everyone. Weather started off sunny but is now clouding over. I'm glad to report that Keira is back to her happy, bouncy self. The first of my iris plants is now in bloom, it's a very pretty colour but taller than I expected. I potted up a couple of hanging baskets yesterday, and I think that's my planting over for this year

Good afternoon Quick lunch time Brave yourselves for one of the cutest pics I've ever seen, coming up.. It's raining on/off here. I heard about the caravan's in Wales getting flooded I'm glad everyone is safe, that's frightening Yogi I'm pleased Keira is back to normal And I bet your garden looks lovely Squiggle, yes the Colin firth/Jennifer ehle version of pride & prejudice, IMO no other version compares! I get a lump in my throat the end of episode 4 when Elizabeth leaves pemberly with her aunt & uncle and you know she has fallen for mr darcy Here is miss bramble, all grown up & not needing her bed in the car anymore (she's almost big enough for her proper harness) And.. Here she is with Stream!!!!!
~Sparkling Summer~

Lovely photos of Bramble, Summer

Yogi, I'm glad Keira is back to full health

I opened my post this morning, and found that one of my clients has sent me a bonus for helping her sort out her late husband's tax and getting a nice tax refund for her. That was very nice of her

I've never seen that adaptation of Pride and Prejudice as there's something about Jennifer Ehle I don't like.

For those of you who were trying to watch the torch relay as it has been going from Glasgow to Inverness, there have been technical problems with the BBC online streaming this afternoon. Reports are coming in that someone has stolen the torch in transit over Loch Ness and I think I have discovered what's happened.

Hi all x

 El

Lovely pics Summer, so cute !
Have had a lovely day at the local Gala, started off with the parade in heavy rain , which was a shame, but the sun came out for the afternoon which was good. Granddaughter was in awe at the Police horses that led the parade. They were huge! She is now fed, watered, bathed and snoring away ! I wont be long behind her, feel shattered ! x
