Good morning everyone

It's going to be another day of sunshine and showers here.

Ros, you poor thing, torn ligament in your spine must be painful

Thanks again everyone for your congrats. I'm hoping that I and the other moderators will be able to use a light touch rather than people thinking we are getting heavy-handed. Ted has set up a separate section on this forum which only moderators can see with the specific intention that we can share our views and concerns rather than being isolated from each other.

El Loro

Good morning everyone.

Weather is cloudy with the sun appearing from time to time. Showers are forecast for later in the afternoon.

El, I hope all goes well for you and the other new mods. I'm sure everything will settle down quite soon.

Summer, well done on getting your dress for you SiL's wedding. What colour/style did you choose?

Yogi19

Good morning everyone, a nice bright morning I am happy to say.

Ros that sounds very painful has the doc given you strong painkillers.  And is there anything that you can do to ease it or is it just rest?

Yes Summer we want all the details of your outfit, down to the very last detail I want to picture you in my mind.

EL Ted does sound like he has gone about this mod business in a very sensible way and I think it's great that you and the other mods can discuss matters.  Well done in stepping forward to you and all the other mods.

Afternoon all
We had sleet here this morning! Big, heavy, wintery sleet
It's now overcast with occasional sunny spells.

El, I'm happy with the way Ted has made the transitions and working as a team will benefit you, as well as us

Here's the dress I have chosen..

I'd like to find a cream bolero and a pearly type clutch bag. What do you think squiggle?

Yes Yogi, got my lights up, looks good. They are like candles, sort of ! Need to get paint now, cant decide on the colour i want...

I like browsing through paint colour charts and choosing a colour scheme.

Me too, mind you one year we went potty and sellotaped a quilt that had a reverse of the exact colour we were contemplating to see if we liked it, we did

EL! Trust you

Skylark glad the new lights look good and the work is all finished, did he chase them into the wall?  I know that sounds funny but you know what I mean.

Thats a lovely bolero squiggle
Laughing at you and the quilt

Yes the lights are well and truly fixed to the wall, with switches each end of the hall. Was trying to find a pic of them, but cant. Got them from BHS, but for some reason they are not on the site. Have done a bit of plastering, will get paint when i decide on colour

If you need any help deciding on a colour, I'm sure Squiggle and I would be happy to help.

I like the third bolero too, Squiggle.

Don't do what I did. Last time we painted the hall and stairs, I spent a fortune having paint specially mixed to my shade of choice. Then, the painter opened the tin and said, "Oh, you're painting it magnolia".

Yogi19

Oh Yogi, yes that would be annoying!

I would like something warm and inviting, but i must get away from maroons, i just love the colour but cant have it everywhere! Now i dont have the pram/buggy bashing the walls i can maybe go for a nice pastel, still have the dog tho, banging her tail on the wall at the main door etc !

Oh squiggle!  Those bolero's are gorgeous! Thank you for the links, the 3rd is my favourite too, I'm going to go hunt it out!

I hope everyone has had a good day

Oh! I'm so pleased - I feel I loved the first two but when I saw the third, well.  Happy hunting.

I'm signing out soon, it's been all family emergencies this evening, most notably my youngest grandson panicking because he had something in his eye.  I tried to be of help on the other end of the phone - talking to his mum whilst his elder brother was following instructions.

I used about 12 paint testers before doing our spare room, I begrudge the money & wastage but we can't do without them can we

Skylark, I'm wearing nude patent leather louboutins, I'll find a pic

Ooooh nice, hope you can find a pic.

Did they get it sorted, Squiggle?

Yogi19

Yes it calmed down. I always have Optrex in but they had nothing like that and my daughter was thinking of warm water I said cool water on a clean teatowel placed over his closed eyes, water is not good for sore eyes.  It calmed his eye down and then they were able to get the foreign body out.  But you know how your eyes react, they go into panic mode.

Well I'm really heading off now, sleep well everyone.

That's good.

See you tomorrow, goodnight Squiggle.
