Have a lovely time Skylark, I hope the sun shines on you and your family over the weekend.
Have a great time, Skylark . Here's some food for your travel companion:
Summer, you'll probably get as much exercise playing with Bramble as you would have on a long walk. When she's older you will be able to amble with Bramble on your rambles
Have a fab weekend and I hope the weather stays dry for you, Skylark.
Summer, you are very good with all your craft projects.
No definite plans for the weekend yet. I think we will wait and see what the weather is like, before deciding.
The bunting looks lovely, you are very talented, Summer.
I love the colours you have used.
@ Bramble Jamble. My clan refer to Keira as Keira Beera, and one son calls her Knightley.
Beautiful bunting it's going to look special
could be because of this :

Bramble jam/jelly is lovely.
My best friend's mother when I was a teenager made her own jam. I would love to taste her bramble jam again it was scrumptious.

Homemade is the best. My mum used to make her own.
hi sorry not been in for a bit but BIL has been very poorly and had a 12 hour op on Tuesday with only a 30% chance of it being successful- he is a bit better today - hope everybody is OK
Aww Ros, he has been through the mill. I hope things improve for him soon. Your poor SiL and family must be sick with worry.

hi yogi - yes her and their 2 sons have been distraught - horrible time - as he is a young looking/acting person - had a heart by-pass 2 years ago and the valve became infected - to re-operate and replace it was very dangerous
Are they hopeful that they have sorted the valve now, Ros?
Are they hopeful that they have sorted the valve now, Ros?
yes - they have replaced it but the infection caused an abscess in the spine which will need further treatment - he has been ill for 8 weeks now - more positive tonight though thank goodness
thank you for asking yogi
Maybe things will turn around for him now, I do hope so, Ros.

Tace care and hope you get a good night's sleep, Ros.
Good morning everyone
Ros, I hope your BIL gets through this - he's had a rough time
Dry here but not warm - there had been a bit of rain overnight but nowhere near the scale of the last week.
I saw in the Radio Times that there's a television film from 2004 called The Mystery of Natalie Wood. The title says it all - it's a biographical film. I'm not mentioning this as a recommendation but I saw that the actor playing Robert Wagner is Michael Weatherly. Any regular viewer of NCIS will know that in that the father of the character played by Michael Weatherly is played by Robert Wagner.

Hope your BIL makes a speedy recovery. I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers.
Despite the weather we are taking a trip down to our holiday home so won't be about until Monday. Have a great weekend whatever you are doing.
Good morning everyone. What rotten luck your BIL has had Ros, I hope he has turned the corner now and can finally get some good luck and return to full health.
Off to the hairdressers soon, whatever you are doing, wherever you are going, have a great time.
Good morning everyone. Quite chilly today, although the sun is shining.
El, do you know when and which channel the Natalie Wood film is on, please?
Joyron, I hope you have a good time at your holiday home, whatever the weather.
Squiggle, remember to give us a twirl when you get back from the hairdresser's.
Yogi, the film is on Channel 5 and starts at 4.15 this afternoon. It's a long film and finishes at 7.30 though there will be ad breaks and a very short break for news updates (but only a couple of minutes). As the film is biographical 3 actresses play Natalie Wood. As an adult she is played by Junstine Waddell who was Estella in the 1999 TV version of Great Expectations (the one with Ioan Gruffudd). I see in the detailed cast list that there are cameo appearances by Lana Wood and Robert Vaughan as themselves. It's directed by Peter Bogdanovich who in the early 70s was briefly a top film American director (The Last Picture Show, Paper Moon and Whats Up, Doc?) then fell from favour with critics and the public possibly more than any other high profile director I can think of.
Thank you, El, gosh it's a long film. I've set the V+ to record it and will put it on when I have a spare three hours.
Dashes in - does a quick twirl and dashes off to dish up lunch, catch you later
Summer, no. I finished that jam off
So here's another jar for you, but from a different part of the country.
If any of you have seen the current Florettes advert you probably realise that it's a Goons song used for the music. Here's the original along with another of their songs:
Mary-Jess Leaverland used to live in Gloucester where she went to school. I don't know her but you may be interested in this. She won the Chinese equivalent of the X-factor - one of her songs sung in Chinese and comes from Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.
Since then:
And this afternoon she will be at the FA Cup final singing "Abide with Me".
She has a lovely voice EL.
I watched a film this afternoon, one of the actors in it was Chris P. Bacon

Cheltenham won their match this afternoon in a meaningless fixture as they were guaranteed to be in the promotion playoffs regardless of the result. That was the last match before the playoffs. As a result of other games played today they will face Torquay. The first leg at home is Sunday week starting at 12 noon - my brother will be here then so I won't be able listen to it. The second leg away follow on Thursday 17 at 7.45 pm so I should be able to listen to that one.
The winner will meet either Southend or Crewe at Wembley in the final on Sunday 27 at 3pm.
Hi Summer. Harvey was only on daycare yesterday, not sleepover. He will be back in Tuesday though.
Love the twirl Squiggle, nice hairdo.
El, never heard of Mary-Jess before, but she has a lovely voice.
Well done to Cheltenham.
@ Chris P. Bacon.
