I'm just having lunch, I could have been here much more this morning but have been using my spare moments to crack on with a craft project. My SIL has set me the task of making some card bunting to hang on the sweetie table at her wedding, I've thoroughly enjoyed drawing & cutting out the lettering Projects are very relaxing What are everyone's weekend plans? We usually head out for long walks on bank holidays but we'll just be playing with miss bramble this weekend

could be because of this :

Bramble jam/jelly is lovely.

hi yogi - yes her and  their 2 sons have been distraught - horrible time - as he is a young looking/acting person - had a heart by-pass 2 years ago and the valve became infected - to re-operate and replace it was very dangerous

I saw in the Radio Times that there's a television film from 2004 called The Mystery of Natalie Wood. The title says it all - it's a biographical film. I'm not mentioning this as a recommendation but I saw that the actor playing Robert Wagner is Michael Weatherly. Any regular viewer of NCIS will know that in that the father of the character played by Michael Weatherly is played by Robert Wagner.

Despite the weather we are taking a trip down to our holiday home so won't be about until Monday.  Have a great weekend whatever you are doing.

Yogi, the film is on Channel 5 and starts at 4.15 this afternoon. It's a long film and finishes at 7.30 though there will be ad breaks and a very short break for news updates (but only a couple of minutes). As the film is biographical 3 actresses play Natalie Wood. As an adult she is played by Junstine Waddell who was Estella in the 1999 TV version of Great Expectations (the one with Ioan Gruffudd). I see in the detailed cast list that there are cameo appearances by Lana Wood and Robert Vaughan as themselves. It's directed by Peter Bogdanovich who in the early 70s was briefly a top film American director (The Last Picture Show, Paper Moon and  Whats Up, Doc?) then fell from favour with critics and the public possibly more than any other high profile director I can think of.

Mary-Jess Leaverland used to live in Gloucester where she went to school. I don't know her but you may be interested in this. She won the Chinese equivalent of the X-factor - one of her songs sung in Chinese and comes from Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

Since then:

And this afternoon she will be at the FA Cup final singing "Abide with Me".

I watched a film this afternoon, one of the actors in it was Chris P. Bacon

Cheltenham won their match this afternoon in a meaningless fixture as they were guaranteed to be in the promotion playoffs regardless of the result. That was the last match before the playoffs. As a result of other games played today they will face Torquay. The first leg at home is Sunday week starting at 12 noon - my brother will be here then so I won't be able listen to it. The second leg away follow on Thursday 17 at 7.45 pm so I should be able to listen to that one.

The winner will meet either Southend or Crewe at Wembley in the final on Sunday 27 at 3pm.
