Ouch, hope your ear is okay. I think you handled it the right way.
Summer, I agree with you about Bramble - sit/stay seems to be the advisory way as I'm sure you've already been told. Plenty of online advice on this out there.
I've added to your posting about slowness in getting on here sometimes.
El I have just checked the page count of this thread against the Darnies and we are only up to 465 against the Darnies well over 1000 so I don't think that can be the cause of any loading problems for this thread.
Squiggle, there's still a lot more pages here than on the typical thread though. It depends on how the programming behind the scenes is written. Does it know where to go straight away when looking for the latest post or does it systematically work through each page until it gets to the end. If the first way, then it would make no difference as to speed, but if the second, then it could.
I wonder if the problem goes away if instead of clicking on last reply we click on the last page number instead.
As we knew Keira was going to be a big dog when she was fully grown, we discouraged jumping up, right from the beginning. I didn't want her to jump on someone and perhaps knock them down.

I think that was me, Squiggle. I know the Darnies previously had to start a new thread because of posting problems when they got too big, but I agree their thread has a lot more pages than ours, so perhaps it is a different issue this time.
Squiggle, ignore my first sentence, I've read back and realise that El and Summer have also posted on this issue.

When I tried that yesterday, it didn't help.
Morning Buddies
I hope you`re all well.
Soozy hasn`t been around for a wee while. Do you know if she`s on holiday?

I noticed she hadn't posted recently but I don't remember her saying she was going on holiday, Scotty.

Thanks Yogi.
Neither do I and she would normally say. She pops in here now and again so I thought I`d maybe missed it.
She hasn`t logged in since the 17th. I hope everything is okay.

I hope she hasn't gone down with one of the bugs that are doing the rounds atm.

If you had already clicked on last reply with no success and then tried clicking on the last page number without stopping the last reply from trying to be loaded, that probably would prevent the last page being loaded. I would click on the stop loading page at the extreme right end of the browser address bar first before trying the last page way.

I tried it that way, but it wasn't helping yesterday.

Fingers crossed.
Speak to you later Yogi.

Aww Summer, she is soooooooo gorgeous.
Lovely picture Summer x
Well done!
Gorgeous picture of Bramble, Sweet. What a wee cutie.
She is sooooo cute !
Those are some sandwiches
Sister has popped in for a cuppa, be back later x
Summer, those sandwiches look so much nicer than the pilchards on toast that I am having for lunch.
The second pic of Bramble is really cute, too.
Have a nice time with your sister, Skylark.
I liked the photos, both Bramble and sandwiches, making me hungry, and the laying on her back that tummy is just waiting to be tickled isn't it?
Hi am back.
If you work out how to post a video let me know Summer, my son has a brilliant one on the iphone x
Summer, the iPhone app seems to support uploading videos according to the Hoop.la site. On computers, these are done through Add Attachments in the Post Reply box and can be up to 100 mb in size.
My hanging basket and two-tier planter are under attack by birds! They are stealing the liners for nesting material. I didn't mind when the little birds were taking small amounts but I've just seen a big black crow taking a great big clump!
I use natural fibre liners like these.
On a happier note, I have had a pair of siskins and a pair of goldfinches feeding from my niger feeder. I haven't seen goldfinches in the garden for ages and I've never had siskins in the garden before.
