The holiday was great, everything was perfect - even the weather was lovely and sunny.

Aww, sorry that things are so hectic at work. When do you finish up for the Easter holidays? Do you have anything planned or will you just try to get some chill-out time?

finish next friday - holidays -  just chilling but need to get the veggie beds ready  as well and plant potatoes

My sons have bought me lots of plants for Mother's Day and eldest son is making a raised bed so I can plant some veggies. I think I'll need to wait another week or two until the temperature rises a little bit more before planting them outside.

yes - same here - we have 3 raised beds - OH made them - have tried most things but now mainly stick to potatoes peas carrots beans beetroot lettuce cucumber onions courgettes tomatoes + some fruit

Off for a bath and then off to bed.

I have onions, lettuce, carrots, beetroot, spring onions and I think there were some radishes, too. Hopefully, I should get something to grow. *crosses fingers*

Summer, Lori is on holiday at present in the FLorida Keys which is why she won't have seen your request for a name change. She's been posting photos over in her blog

It's going to be another warm sunny day here and for days to come. There is some light fog at present and according to the weather forecast in parts of the country there are some really dense pockets of fog with visibility down to 10 metres.

How very odd this morning, no sign of rain overnight but my car is soaking wet

I know I don't contribute very often in here (I feel a bit of a fraud as I couldn't stand Ben) but I do lurk and read this thread from time to time. Has something happened with Joyron? I do hope she's OK.

Squiggle, I hope Nova 2010 FC is not your local club. This was on the radio news a few moments ago.

The Torbay Sunday League leaders Wheel Power FC thrashed Devon rivals Nova 2010 FC 58-0 – believed to be the heaviest defeat in British history.

After conceding 20 in the first 45 minutes, it was all about damage limitation for Nova in the second half. It did not go to plan.

The amateur league’s second-bottom side let in another 38, with brothers Robbie and Stuart Bowker scoring 28 times between them.

‘At 50-0, they’d had enough but the referee told them they must carry on playing or they would risk being fined,’ 21-year-old Stuart explained.  

Nova veteran Lewis Parker, 60, added: ‘A lot of the players didn’t turn up so we expected to lose but not by that much.’ (on the radio it said that as so money players didn't turn up their 60 year manager had to play)

Had a nice lunch thanks, we went to a Chinese Buffet place, it was lovely went just at the right time it was nice and fresh. They do help yourself ice cream, like Mr Whippy with fruits and sauces. My daughter had two bowls! 

Hope your son has had a nice Birthday too , Yogi.
