I blame those P.D. James programmes from the early 80's for my thriller addiction.

Son has arrived home from his GF's, so we are going to have a cup of tea and a chat before bed, so I'll sign out now.

Good to finally catch up with you at last.

Goodnight Ros.

Good morning everyone

It's dry here with sun and cloud and a breeze. Little in the forecast to suggest that there will be much rain in the south for quite some time.

The biggest solar storm in 5 years has reached this planet. Although the polar regions are the most affected, there could be problems anywhere affecting things like electricity supplies, telephone connections and sat nav. The storm will last for about a day.

The plus side of the storm is that there could be the best Northern Lights display tonight for some years (cloud permitting).

Summer, as this solar storm didn't get to Earth until around 6 this morning I would guess that your problem in getting online last night was not related.

Plock Court playing fields are a few minutes away from me and the part near the main road gets flooded whenever there is heavy rain. The local council decided to convert this part into a wetlands area to provide a wildlife habitat, and educational resource and a plesant environment for people to wander by. It's very early days in this project and the lack of rain won't have helped matters but in a few years time it could be quite attractive and I wouldn't be surprised if there aren't frogs there, though they would have to watch out for the seagulls.

Good morning everyone, it's a lovely bright morning and I feel quite the butterfly emerging from the chrysalis as I am dressed in pink and white this morning having cast aside the drab (mainly black) clothes I have been wearing this winter.

Hope the sun is shining on you today wherever you are.  Hope you have no trouble getting online today Summer it's so frustrating when that happens.  I was listening to the radio last week and some lady phoned in and said that in her garden they have filled in the pond and I could guess what was coming next, next year all the frogs had arrived as usual and had spawned on her patio despite the lack of water   I must admit I do like to hear the frogs singing away.

How very spring like of you to dress colourfully squiggle, I love it I'm a colourful creature and love cheerful clothes, i have to wear black for work though which I think is smart but a bit dull El, ah I see! Mr summer suggested its because I had been skyping my mum, that sometimes blips our iPhones.. I had restarted the router but it didn't help, I had limited 3G which from home isn't enough to load the forum. I'm grateful I have good signal from work

Summer, if I tried to use 3G I would have the same problem as you. I would have to walk half way down the road where according to the BT map there is a hotspot. I remember someone at my house trying to connect their laptop to their broadband and failing to get any connection.

Good afternoon everyone.    The sun is shining here today and I have loads of daffodils in bloom now.  They look wonderful.

Hope you are all keeping well.  I have been watching your posts although I've not posted myself.

Skylark I really hope when you get back from the meeting that it will be good news all the way.  I will be keeping all my fingers and toes crossed.

Good morning everyone

Cloudy, fairly mild and not expected to rain here - likely to be similar for several days. No chance of seeing any Northern Lights not that they are ever likely to be seen in my area.

I don't watch Those Who Kill as if I watch any crime dramas I prefer the less grim ones, just my own personal preference.

Me too, I did watch The Inside Man which I thought looked interesting and there were some violent scenes in that but the ending was left sort of unfinished which was annoying.

It's drizzly here but it was a lovely afternoon yesterday so I hope we will get more of those.

Good morning Cloudy here, but not too chilly. Yogi I dislike clothes shopping too I only go about twice a year and I still dislike it. I have found that if I take pictures of myself in an outfit that I'm trying on (using the mirror) I can get a better idea of what suits me. I then delete the pics after You've just reminded me, I must make sure I've got all my best clothes clean ready for next weekend, I'll be heading to my mums! Thinking of you skylark And good morning joyron because I know you'll read this even if you're not posting
