Squiggle, yes I did spot Terry Bull's van

After the last episode of Call the Midwife I did start watching Upstairs Downstairs. It's not something that I had watched before but I thought I would try it out as I saw that both programmes were written by the same writer.

I have to admit that I stopped watching as I was not getting anything from it, so it seems as if the rest of you had a similar reaction.

The ratings for Upstairs Downstairs according to BARB:

The ratings for the previous short series of 3 episodes were 8.85, 8.13, and 8.18 million respectively.

This current series:

The first episode 7.87 million.

The second episode 6.70 million.

OK, the first episode may be benefited by being shown after Call the Midwife but is in line with the previous series. But the second episode does show a significant drop. It's too soon for BARB to have released the figures for yesterday's episode as they release the figures weekly.

That is a large drop! It's a shame but I don't feel bad enough to make myself watch it Popping out for tea, it's mr summer's neice's birthday. I can't bring myself to refer to her as my niece because she's only 4 years younger than myself- I call her my cousin instead lol I'll be in here after have a lovely evening and goodnight to the early birds

Does this mean someone else might be ahead of you in the bus queue?

You might be in with a chance tonight, Soozy.

^ wow what is that beautiful bird?! *night owls* We were out much later than I thought we would, I've got to say, my in-laws are hilarious! Sooz I'm a bus addict! That means as long as I got my iPhone, some 3G and (frequently) a loo to hide in, I'll be in the bus stop queue day and night Hope everyone has had a good Monday, sleep well & sweet dreams

Good morning everyone

Slight frost this morning but won't stay long - should be a mainly sunny day here.

Summer, I think squiggle's beautiful picture is of a bluebird found in the States. A film starring Shirley Temple called The Blue Bird was made in 1940 in an attempt to follow in the footsteps of The Wizard of Oz:

I've just come back from the Lent course at church where we had a cup of tea and a biscuit. I had a Nice biscuit which has sugar granules on top - I'm doomed
