They had a lovely hour playing with Keira's new soft toy (tug of war stylee) and are now both fast asleep.

That sounds like so much fun, I bet they entertain you all the time I saw lots of dogs today, no retrievers or border terriers though

My future DiL's family have a border terrier. He looks like the one Ken Barlow has in Coronation Street.

Squiggle I've been wondering how your mole is lately, there seems to be a increase in them locally here these last few weeks!

Summer I was outraged!  I sat down with my bowl of cereal - I like to eat it when it's still crispy) and there was a mole hill appearing before my eyes.  I stormed out the patio doors and started beating the ground with my spade that I keep ready - lucky I am not overlooked - Danger Alert! Madwoman on the Loose

Lol me too yogi, it sounds very entertaining Squiggle I hope you gave it an extra whack for losing the crispness of your cereal I too like my cereal crunchy not sloppy! I forgot to bring my book in to work today I was looking forward to getting into a lunch too! Silly me!

When son dropped off Harvey last night, he brought a dog bed he had purchased for Harvey but Harvey had refused to use it, so son suggested I might like it for Keira. Guess where Harvey is sleeping now - that's right, in the bed he wouldn't use at home.

What are they like Yogi! Animals I mean.  When we had Ben we bought our cat a lovely comfy foam bed all lined with fake fur and really small.  He refused to use it and the cherry on the cake was when we came in and found the cat in the middle of Ben's huge basket with a look of triumph on his ginger face and Ben curled up in the cat's bed - how he got into it I shall never know

haha what are animals like?! Yogi I hope you took a photo of Harvey in the bed for your son Squiggle, what breed was Ben?

Visit at nana,s went well Yogi, didnt stay that long as didnt want to get caught up in the rugby crowd and also wanted to get settled for DOI 
GP appointment was just a follow up the hospital wanted, re granddaughter,s bowel probs, i think a phone appt would have done to be honest. She is well and tummy problems improving

Thanks Summer, yes she is doing well. She has started in a private nursery, and is doing better there, she can be a bit demanding and they have more time to spend with her. plus they do far more artwork and dancing, her favourites, as well as reading and writing time. Her behaviour is improving as her day is more structured with things she enjoys doing. So its all good.

I'm pleased your granddaughter's tummy problems are getting better, Skylark.

The new nursery sounds much better for her.

It sounds very suitable, I'm pleased she got a place there, imagine the fun she's going to be having

I am beginning to get my life back too. I was thinking of entering Mastermind with chosen subjects of Garfield and scooby doo ! That seems to be where my brain is these days 

"Keep Calm and Carry On".......There was someone on Antiques Roadshow last night with original posters. Apparently they are quite rare, and worth a bit, so keep your eyes open all ! Would do a link to the programme, but cant, sorry

One wonders what got cut out of that edition as it had to be shortened at short notice because of the football over-running. It was about 15 minutes shorter than normal.

your new look suits you El I hope you're having a lovely day I have a random fact for you, it's about Kermit the frog.. "Muppets creator Jim Henson first created Kermit in 1955 - as a lizard. He was made from Henson's mother's coat and two halves of a Ping-Pong ball (no flipper feet or eleven-point collar)." It's from an iPhone app of random facts (some of my friends and i play a daft game where we send several texts to friends with just random facts in) so I don't know exactly how true it is, but it sure is fun to read

Summer, I think you must be wrong about Kermit - he's real

 

Here is a very rare clip from Sam and Friends which was the Muppets first television series which was on from 1955 to 1961. There's only a handful of the episodes still surviving.

 

Quite a different look, and voice, to later versions of Kermit in that clip EL.
