Here it is still windy but not exceptional.

Me too, El. Not very high winds here, but still a bit dangerous when huge cranes are involved x

My central heating has been off for much of the day - it is a very mild day today. The UK record for the warmest day in February apparently was on February 13 1998 when at Greenwich it reached 19.7 - I doubt if anywhere in the UK has reached that today though in some places it has reached 17.

When we ask Keira if she wants to go out, she takes one look at the pouring rain and refuses to step outside.

I've got a mental picture of Keira with crossed legs now

I think she must have a good bladder. She looks at us as if to say, "Are you mad? I'm not going out in that!".

We have to wait for a break in showers and let her dash in and out quickly.

I do enjoy growing things, although I'm not always successful - last year, my two pepper plants only produced one tiddly pepper between them.

Not enough sun last year, Ros.

My tomatoes took ages to ripen - at one point I was checking out recipes for green tomato chutney.

TBh - that has happened to us for 2 years and i did the same but last year the trusses did not fertilize and fell off - so disappointed - and l they were in a really nice plastic greenhouse - and still did it - our cucumbers  however were very successful - grew mini ones but courgettes were disappointing - potatoes brill  - onions so- so - beetroot awful  - radishes and lettuce fine - so were the gooseberries  and raspberries

Considering the miserable summer we had, you did pretty well.

I did see it, and the one that was on last week. It has made me think twice about the flowers I will chose for my hanging baskets and containers this year.
