I've always been interested in odd bits of information as my father was. The fact that he had over 3000 books shows that he was interested in all sorts of things. He didn't have a good education but had an enquiring mind and books were a natural way of finding out about things. I don't read as much as my father did but I do watch a huge range of films and have picked up a lot of bits of information that way. Also when I meet clients, it's more than just dealing with their accounts and tax returns which in themselves are boring - it's being able to chat with them about almost anything. I should think Summer has picked up a wide range of bits of information for the same reason.

El, if I ever go on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, I'd like you as my Phone A Friend.

Skylark, I hope you manage to get your keyboard cleaned - Lucozade is so sticky.

Off to get my hair cut, be back later.

afternoon all Another busy one, and my reliably unreliable colleague has called in sick as predicted I could have easily spent my lunch hiding out the back in tears, but I made myself come out for some air & some food. I do feel better for it already Ha I had no idea that 1 kermit Roosevelt existed, let alone 3! It is an unusual name isn't it. Squiggle, I too love the funny little things we learn in here and El is indeed right when he thinks I learn a lot of random information from working with the public The recommendations for good restaurants are particularly useful I hope you're all having a lovely afternoon, it's very mild here and very welcome

Skylark, if you are able to, use isopropyl rubbing alcohol on the keyboard to get the stickiness out and leave the keyboard to dry out for a couple of days - that's what a google search seems to suggest.

Summer, I've just returned from getting my hair cut. I timed it perfectly to get there a few minutes before it opened after lunch with the result that I was first in, first out. By the time I left, the place was packed with boys wanting to get their hair cut at the end of the half term holiday.

And more on the name Kermit. It's an Irish name meaning free man and is a variant of Dermot. (the wonders of Google )

^ lol well if that's the new craze that leads to the extinction of Zumba.. I'm all for it lol What a funny sight it must have been! El, you absolutely did the right thing with timing your haircut, like myself, that lass would have been busy all afternoon with kids & families too so the only way to avoid a queue is to be the first one in I'm actually very cheerful tonight, I was expecting to be moody and tired, but I guess I'm over it coming home to the lovely mr summer sure does help though- he's fed the rabbits, cooked me a nice tea and offered to run me a bath every night this week, and he's had a busy week himself at work too

Mr Summer sounds a real love Summer I'm glad you are feeling better than you expected.

Oh what a funny sight to see EL how daft was that.

So go on Yogi and EL give us a twirl to show off your haircuts.

Hi, missed you all.thanks for advice El x
Son borrowed keyboard from a friend until the other dries out or we need to get a new one.

He was on Facebook chatting to his friends about the Man U footie match and of course he was getting excited at the game, arms flying everywhere, and the can went all over the place!

See you all tomorrow, goodnight  xx

FM

Good morning everyone

Does quick twirl for squiggle and sends mug of coffee over the keyboard (only joking )

Skylark, I'm glad you have the use of a keyboard - I think you may find that the keys remain sticky even after the keyboard has dried off as lucozade is notorious for leaving keyboards sticky.

Summer, I think it's windy everywhere this coming week with gusts at times in Scotland up to 50 mph.

Squiggle, it's the same style as I've had for years. As my hair is very fine, straight, and I have a double crown (most people have one) my choices are very limited.

Like your picture

It reminded me of the last item in yesterday's The One Show. Here's a link to it on iPlayer. The item starts at 53 minutes plus a few seconds - it's worth watching if you missed it

Glad you were only joking about spilling the coffee ! Strange how what looks like a little liquid can go so far !

Very cold here today. Dog has the right idea, she is snuggled up in her bed !

 to all

FM

Skylark, I think your dog has the right idea. It'a already colder here in Gloucester than it was first thing this morning and will be a cold night though nowhere near as cold as it was.

Normal service has been resumed as far as Cheltenham is concerned. They beat Dagenham and Redbridge which given their respective positions in the table they should have But given the recent results there must have been a bit of concern but in the event it was a one sided match with Cheltenham winning 5-0.

Skylark, I loved A Dog Named Christmas, are you enjoying it?

I didn't watch any of Whitney's funeral. Did it go off without any disruptions from those hate-filled idiots?

Whitney,s funeral went off without those people as far as i know, but it was long! But emotional.
Yes its a lovely book x Trying my best to keep it clean
