I'm signing off too, my new book looks good, I picked it up outside our local village shop for 50p (they have a shelf where villagers put books they are finished with) a new crime author (Erica Spindler)  I think she may be one that I will buy again, time will tell.  Have a good evening and sleep well everybody, speak again tomorrow.

night squiggle - think I have read one of hers - sounds familiar

Good morning everyone.

Glad your unusual food combo was tasty, Summer.

Hoping to get my car back from the garage today - apparently it also needed a new oil sump (whatever that is).

El, thanks for the Alastair Sim/George Cole info. I knew that they had made several films together but didn't know any of the background stuff. I love all these snippets of information you find for us.

yaaayyyyy for Uggie!!!!! he deserves the award! thanks for the link El, I've been telling my customers about Uggie ever since I saw the movie Skylark I hope you have a great afternoon at the cinema, I'm only 100% envious lol Had a busy morning, but the thought of my day off tomorrow keeps me going.. And I have had the pleasure of reading "here come the girls" during my lunch break Yogi I hope your car's problem is simple and not expensive to fix
~Sparkling Summer~

Skylark, I'm guessing that you and your granddaughter have decided on watching The Muppets film as that's the obvious choice to go for and seems to be good fun. I hope you like it.

I see that The Artist is now at a wider range of cinemas than when it was first released - over 50 during this week. It's on at the main cinema in Gloucester at the end of this week and again at the smaller cinema in Gloucester at the Guildhall at the end of the month. I'm not that surprised as following the success at the BAFTAs it now must be favourite at the Oscars. Someone at church said he was a bit suspect of it because of all the hype it has been receiving. I said to him that I had spotted the film well before the hype started - 5 September last year to be precise.

Car is serviced, had the brakes fixed and the oil sump replaced (it was so corroded, it was leaking oil, El). It cost quite a few pounds but is now running like a dream and ought to pass its MOT, next month, with flying colours.

Summer, I hope you enjoy Here Come The Girls.

I wonder what which film Skylark and her granddaughter have chosen to watch?

Squiggle, I hope you get your internet connection back soon.

Joyron, hope all is well with you.

Ros, I hope you are enjoying a lovely, relaxing half-term.

Good morning everyone

Squiggle, I'm glad the internet problem was just a blip.

Summer, I'm guessing that Skylark and granddaughter went to see The Muppets - she'll let us know in due course.

Cheltenham lost to Torquay yesterday evening. The position at the top of Division 2 is now extraordinarily close with 6 clubs within 2 points of each other. I hope Cheltenham's morale hasn't been destroyed by their recent results - 2 of their last 3 matches have been against teams in the top 6 and the other match was against Hereford which has been Cheltenham's bogey team not having beaten them in the last 10 years.Their next match on Saturday is away to Dagenham & Redditch which is bottom but one in the division so this should be a win for them.

Good morning everyone.    I am pleased to report that the last of the snow has finally gone!!

I hope you are all keeping well.  Enjoy "Here Come the Girls" Sweet.  It was one of the best books I've read in a long while.  Cars can be very expensive to keep on the road Yogi.  My car is due for it's MOT too next month.

No.2 son is on his way for a visit so I won't be about much until next week, but will try and pop in to read up on your comments when I get the chance.  Love you all.

Joyron

Good morning everyone, sorry about your football team EL (it's Dagenham and Redbridge by the way, I know because I came from Redbridge).  I am glad your snow has gone now Joyron, enjoy your visit with your son.

My car is due for its MOT at the end of this month too so I hope that it gets through OK.

Have a good day everyone.

squiggle

Squiggle, thanks for pointing that out - on the BBC football tables Dagenham and Redbridge gets shortened to Dag and Red, hence the error.

Looks as if February/March is a bit of an MOT period with you, Yogi and Joyron at the very least having cars done then. My car doesn't have the MOT done until early October.

Glad you both enjoyed it, I think the world would be a little sadder without Muppets.

Indeed!

I love A Muppet's Christmas Carol, it's brilliant.

Glad your granddaughter enjoyed the film, Skylark - and I know what you mean about the pic'n'mix.
