Goodnight all
Sounds like you've been run ragged today. Hope you get a decent night's sleep and recharge your batteries.
You've had a busy day, Summer. Sleep well and sweet dreams.
Off for a bath and a read of my book. Good night Ros, goodnight all.
night yogi and EL skylark squiggle summer - the midwife programme is fab
Good morning everyone
The last of the really cold nights - it's forecast to get warmer during today and even during tonight so in my area it will be an increase from 6 this morning to 6 tomorrow morning of 14 C. But the blue skies will have gone and be replaced by the grey stuff.
Good morning everyone. Really frosty here today. It will take me ages to get the car clean so that I can go out. Would put my travel off until tomorrow if I could, but I can't!!
Still haven't watched Call the Midwife but it sounds as though I have a treat in store. Have a good day whatever you are doing. Will try and get back later.
Morning xx
Very cold here again, hope you are all well this morning. You are an early bird this morning Joyron
Good morning everyone, I hope you slept well Skylark, it sounds like you had an exhausting day. You are definitely in for a treat when you watch Call The Midwife Summer - grab a box of tissues though. Safe journey today Joyron, hurry home to the warm where I intend to stay. Did anyone see the stars last night? They said it was going to be a very clear night and somewhere on the telly they showed how to pick out Orion's belt and his shoulders etc so I looked out of the spare bedroom window and blow me there was Orion's belt right in front of me, I was chuffed to little mint balls
Squiggle, I should think where you live is a good place for star gazing as there would be less in the way of street lighting than in towns. Gloucester is hopeless for looking at stars other than for the casual viewer.
For those of you who don't know what Orion's Belt looks like:
It's one of the most recognisable constellations. Betelgeuse and Rigel are two of the brightest stars. Just don't say Betelgeuse three times otherwise Michael Keaton might suddenly appear and cause mayhem.
The M42 isn't the motorway, it's the Orion nebula and consists of zillions of stars in a huge cloud of dust and gas. Here's what it looks like through the Hubble telescope:
Whenever we look at stars we are in a way time travellers. Because of the time it takes for light to travel from a star to here we are seeing the star as it was many years ago. For instance Betelgeuse is 640 light years away so we are seeing it as it was 640 years ago. Rigel is about 860 light years ago. The Orion Nebula is about 1500 light years away.
They're at it again. First phone call this year from "Microsoft" etc etc. You don't need me to say any more.
I tried a different way this time. I asked him to tell me that if this was a genuine phone call from Microsoft, he would know which version of Windows I used. Obviously he couldn't say so assumed it was Windows 7. I'm still on XP. I then said if this was a genuine phone call from Microsoft why is there a warning message on the official Microsoft website warning people about people claiming to be from Microsoft saying there were problems with your computer?. To which there was no answer and the phone went dead.
Good morning everyone (only just!)
Have been to the nurse this morning and then took the dog out for a walk. The weather here is misty rain and I believe heavier rain is on its way. It's still pretty cold and damp. Brrrrrr.
Well done EL on finding new questions to fox them with
Did all go well with the nurse this morning Yogi?
Everything was fine, thanks Squiggle. I'll need to wait for the results of the bloods, but everything else was good.
Those phone calls are so tiresome El
Glad all went well at the nurse Yogi x

Thanks Skylark.
Are you having a less hectic day today?
Hi Yogi, setting off soon back to nursery.
Yesterday was all go! Granddaughters tummy problem is back, she gets very constipated and it makes her grumpy. RHSC (Sick Kids) appointment next week so hopefully the cause will be found. I got some medicine today and will give her some later. She wont be at nursery tomorrow for obvious reasons!

Aww, I remember she had that trouble a while back, sorry to hear it's back again. I hope the hospital can find out what's causing it.
On a clear night, when the sky is inky black and the stars are twinkling, it's beautiful.
I've just returned from the funeral service of one of my clients who died recently. At the end of the service, our curate said a final prayer of commitment. I've never heard this one before but I thought I would do a Google search and I found it and so share it with you. Total coincidence that earlier today I posted about Orion's Belt.
Into the freedom of wind and sunshine
We let you go
Into the dance of the stars and the planets
We let you go
Into the windâs breath and the hands of the star maker
We let you go
We love you, we miss you, we want you to be happy
Go safely, go dancing, go running home.

That's simply lovely EL, how beautiful.
Lovely El, i hadnt heard it before either x
At the start of the funeral as the family were walking in, this music was played.
My client was very involved in amateur dramatics and had a strong sense of humour. So this was the music played at the end of the funeral.
That sounds a very well thought out farewell EL, I love Clair De Lune and of course the Morecambe & Wise song too.

That's really lovely, I haven't heard that one before.
Hi, thats the wee one sleeping (does a jig)
Got sachets of Movicol (paediatric) what a carry on to get them in her, a bottle of something would have been so much easier. I camouflaged them with orange juice but she took so long drinking it, i doubt if it will do much, but we shall see . I am sure there is a liquid form, but cant find my MIMS, so will have to google.
Surely there must be a bottle of something they could give her, sachets aren't the best thing for little ones. You did well by disguising it with orange juice.
I am going to get it changed Yogi, it wont do much clearance if i cant get it in her .
Hows you this evening?
You're right, it won't do much good if you can't get her to take it.
It must be really uncomfortable for the wee soul.
I'm fine thanks, things are okay atm.
Good
Is the birthday boy enjoying being (officially) old enough to drink now?
Ha ha yes he is loving being asked for his ID! Not much social life now tho, he is working out of town and gets picked up at 4.20 am He is snoring away now, will get out of his room shortly, although he doesnt know i am here, he is out cold !
Wow, that's an early start, no wonder he's out for the count.
Will be on that job for a while - is so, he won't be clubbing for a while?
Think its till July, Yogi. he finishes at 1.30 tho and not working weekends, he was offered but we spoke about it and decided no. Maybe the occasional one , but he needs a life too

Definitely, otherwise you can burn yourself out.
Skylark I hope they can get the wee one properly sorted out, poor little thing. And that sounds like such hard work for your son but you're just grateful they've got a job nowadays aren't you?
Signing out, talk to you in the morning.
Goodnight Squiggle, I hope you get a good night's sleep.
