I'm signing out now so have a good evening and a good night's sleep, hope everyone has got all their presents, all wrapped, all the food shopping done and all the cards sent. Speak tomorrow and for the night owls.
To celebrate Christmas week I am thinking of posting a picture of me in here, what do you think? Yes or No.
I say Yes, yes, yes. (Pretty please)
Interesting clip EL, gorgeous costumes (which is what I always notice) and Mickey Rooney was quite recognisable.
As you ask so nicely Joyron,
Ta Daaaa
Haha Squiggle, that's a great pic.
Got all my food shopping done, gifts bought and cards sent. Now I can relax and enjoy Christmas.
Got to sign out early tonight, leaving hugs for our night owls.
Well done Yogi !
Signing out shortly too want to see final part of Without You, will catch it on plus , goodnight
Squiggle- love that cartoon - brilliant
night yogi squiggle summer skylark
Good morning everyone
Summer, everyone wakes up during the night as part of the natural sleep cycle, it's just that generally we don't wake up sufficiently to remember it in the morning.
I'm just off to do my M&S food shopping before it gets even more crowded and before the expected rain arrives. See you later.
Morning x
Got so much to do today and dont know where to start
There is no way i am taking a 3 year old to the shops today !!!
Have a good one whatever you are doing
Good morning everyone, very drizzly here . I'm glad everyone liked my picture - exactly what I look like I assure you
Wow brave souls going to M & S today I bets it's heaving in there, hope you both get what you want EL and Mr Summer. Going to make the stuffing today, have a good day everyone.
I'm back from M&S. I went to the out of town one. I was there before 9, the car park was almost full, and M&S was very busy. Luckily the aisles are wide so it wasn't too hard to get around. I got enough for the next few days, but will go back next Wednesday to restock. It took longer to queue to pay than it did to choose what I wanted.
Lovely pictures, squiggle
Apparently there were some lenticular clouds over West Yorkshire yesterday. The BBC posted some pictures of these on their site and someone has uploaded them on to Youtube as a silent slideshow. They are rarely seen, and sometimes people think that they have seen a UFO.
I saw yesterday's Christmas University Challenge, and for the first time, one of the teams did reasonably well and up to the standard one expects from the regular series. The team seemed a lot sharper and had the siginificant advantage that one of the team was in the team that won the regular series a few years ago. So far I have seen 8 of the 10 teams competing, and unless 1 of the two remaining teams yet to be seen is as good I would be surprised if Warwick doesn't turn out to be the eventual winners.
Fascinating cloud shapes EL, it's those layers that are the most fascinating.
Good afternoon everyone.
Went to the nurse for my monthly blood tests and then my eldest son came to visit.
Summer, I think I would like Ralph, he sounds a real character. You are right about the maltesers though, dogs shouldn't have chocolate which is meant for humans. Maybe Ralph has an inbuilt imunity to it.
Squiggle, I love the Christmas pics.
El, I saw the strange cloud formations on BBC Breakfast news, they are fascinating.
I'm going to catch up on some ironing and housework, then put my feet up, have a cup of tea and read another chapter of my book. See you later.
The Telepgraph has today published a list of the 10 strangest requests under the Freedom of Information Act received by local councils.
My favourite one is local to me and is this :
What preparations has the council made for an emergency landing of Santa's sleigh this Christmas? Who would be responsible for rescuing Santa? Who would be responsible for rounding up the reindeer, and who would have to tidy the crash site?
(Cheltenham Borough Council)
I don't know what reply if any was given.
They asked the same question of Plymouth Council EL and one listener to Radio Devon said that the question was easy to answer Santa Claus would obviously land on the Hoe Hoe Hoe (Plymouth Hoe)
Santa could also land at Westward Ho Ho Ho
I hope he wouldn't get confused and land in Bristol here as that would be very bumpy:
(look half way up on the left)
Someone from Westward Ho! had a little sign reading 'Ho! Ho!' properly made and it matched the official sign and he added it to the Westward Ho sign,he will take it down over the holiday sometime and bring it out for next year. I love little things like that.
Loving all the pics.
Great pics
Summer, nothing worse than someone telling you that you look awful especially when you are feeling awful Hope you feeling better now you are home x Are you working tomorrow?
Summer, I hope you feel better once you've had something to eat.
Hi Skylark, how are you?
Hi Yogi, just got tiddles off to sleep, thank goodness! I shall get some wrapping done and make a list of the last minute things i need, fruit, veg etc. Are you all set?
Tiddles.
I'm all set, apart from buying some bread and milk tomorrow.
I don't think I've forgotten anything - at least, I hope I haven't.
Glad you are feeling better Summer, time to put your feet up Skylark , sounds like you are in good shape Yogi. Love to Joyron EL and Ros.
Signing off for the night, sleep tight everyone, Santa will soon be on his way, I will just leave you with this
Glad you're feeling better, Summer.
I hope your colleague is pulling her weight at work and not leaving the bulk of it to you.
I'm watching Corrie atm. Which channel is The Two Ronnies on?
And one for you, Squiggle.
Sleep well and speak to you tomorrow.
Aww, it ends at the same time as Corrie.
Never mind, I'm sure I'll catch it some other time.
