I hope the dental work works this time and that you get the all clear from the eye examination tomorrow.

Thank you EL, I could really do with it, driving away from the dentist I felt like bursting into tears, I had a severe word with myself telling myself to grow up.

Squiggle I can guarantee I would have cried after the leaving the dentist, well done you for being braver than me El, I'm going to show mr summer the story about the digger, he drives a 180 excavator jcb and will be very interested. I would be extremely surprised if the driver of the transporter didn't lose his job immediately, health & safety regulations are so strict these days My Christmas book arrived today I can't wait to get stuck in!

Well I've still got the tooth, here's hoping, he has lowered the height of the pin and put in 3 or 4 layers of filling, the tooth feels more comfortable.  What a week, I have to go for a diabetic retinopathy exam tomorrow (an annual thing) where they look inside your eye.  Oh I do know have to have fun

Sometimes all the unpleasant things seems to come along at the same time, Squiggle. Maybe the dentist will have worked his magic this time - fingers crossed.

Harvey was only here for daycare, after all. I love the mental image of him with his backpack and PJs and teddy. We do keep a bed for him at our house and he and Keira are quite happy to share her soft toys, so he is well taken care of.

I have no advent calendar - youngest son will go mad.

I'll buy one for him when I'm out shopping tomorrow.

I don't usually put up the tree until mid December. That's because I used to buy a real tree and it was bald by New Year if I bought it too early. However, I have an artificial one now, so I could put it up a bit earlier.

Eldest and middle sons have no option to like Christmas as their wife and fiancee love it. Middle son says their tree and decs are going up on Sunday and their flat will look like Santa's Grotto by the time his fiancee has finished with it. He doesn't seem to mind though.

Youngest son helps me decorate the tree and put up the decs. We have a little Santa ornament he got when he was small, and he still insists that he has to hang it on the tree.

Mr Yogi doesn't normally help but always says "the tree looks lovely" when I've finished - that's his contribution. (And he always buys me something new for my Christmas decs collection each year)

Aww, I hope she feels better in the morning.

A special bauble for baby Ava is a lovely idea. How is she doing now, and how is her poor mum, is she still on crutches?

That must be quite tricky for your friend but it sounds like she is coping.

Ava sounds fabulous, even if she is a night owl - I love babies!
