Ooh yes we had ducking for apples, and also apples on a string, you had to try and bite 'em with your hands behind your back.  Also toffee apples on bonfire night, obviously our parents and other grown ups were very keen on apples

Squiggle,now that you mention it, we too had apples on a string. I don't think we had toffee apples though on bonfire night. I think we had some sweets but I can't remember what type they were. They may have been treacle toffee ones,

We also had dookin' (ducking) for apples and apples hanging on strings.

I had the TV on in the bedroom and I wasn't that surprised, they did to Harry what they did to Ben.  I would love to have the voting figures audited by an independent source, I bet there would be a few discrepancies found

 

Don't know what to think this morning, this backstabbing Harry doesn't sound like the guy I have been watching or have I lost my ability to 'read' people?

I don't see Harry as a backstabber. I didn't watch the BBOTS show but I believe he said he thinks the romance with Faye was part of Aaron's strategy/gameplan to win - which Harry had already alluded to in a conversation with Aaron in the house. He also said that Aaron was his best friend in the house.

I fail to see how this makes him a backstabber, he was just saying what he believed to be true.

Anyway, how many people honestly believe that the "romances" in that house are genuine?!

Didnt see BBOTS either Yogi, i agree what you say. Plus Harry does say a few things tongue in cheek, which could be misconstrued if people dont "get" him. How he got less votes than Faye or Jay is beyond me .Bet Jem is furious her sister is still in !

good afternoon all I'm pleased to be here! Work has been very busy, but everyone has been lovely the iPhone app wouldn't load at all last night and I believe it was the same for iPad users, looks like some of you had problems too. I've just downloaded an update so that must be why, I don't mind though because things just keep getting better and it's easier to use the site than ever. Yogi how are you today? Joyron, get well soon I hope everyone else is doing ok..? Shocker about Harry this vote to save nonsense is beyond me, I'm glad I stopped watching

My cold has almost gone, just have a tickly cough now - but it's not too bad.

I am really disappointed to lose Harry and have now given up watching.

I definitely won't be tuning in next year.

Although I don't watch BB, I still sympathise with you over yesterday's departure. I suspect the lack of any genuine live feed would go some way to explain why the viewing figures have been below Channel 5's expectations, so they may change their minds for the next series. I think there's just under 2 weeks left of this series, then the CBB version returns in February.

Ooh have channel 5 decided to resurrect live feed?! I hope it's not too little too late.. I've had a very nice, relaxing bath. I used oils of lavender, marjoram and grapefruit I'm no expert on aromatherapy but I've dabbled with it on an amateur level for several years now. I thoroughly enjoy it and my body responds well to it I usually dress in my pj's as early as possible but I've dressed in normal clothes tonight in case any trick or treaters stop by Ooh I need to upload a pic of my pumpkin..! Brb

I agree about the vote to save, to evict would have been better.People assume because a vote to save is because that person is liked, but its not necessarily the case, as it becomes tactical to get the person out you dont like. Just because a person is saved , its not necessarily because they are liked. If you see what i mean 

Just to let you know that so far 3 people have been arrested in connection with that hold up at my local community centre. No-one has yet been charged but those three are on bail pending further enquiries.

Good news El, hope its them and they get charged  Dont suppose they will get the money back, its probably long gone...

El, sorry I should have clarified, I did understand that the return of live feed was for the next series I'm pleased to hear that some arrests for the robbery have been made, I hope they've got the right people

Fireworks going off again here  Think its kids, dont know where they get the money or infact HOW they get them. Its 18 here in Scotland, legally, but obviously some shops dont care 

They get older teenagers to buy the fireworks for them.

I dare say the parents but them for the kids

I gave up watching the X Factor, I only liked the Irish girl Janet Devlin is it? And the last I heard they seemed to be spoiling her too.

 

I am glad they have made an arrest and I hope they have the right people.

 

Do you have those really loud fireworks going off, I know in the South East it was for Diwali but I hate those loud bangs, I hope your animals are OK.

Yes i think so Yogi, the voices i hear are very young. Where are the mums/dads?? I worry incase they get burnt, although i am not sure why, because the parents dont seem to be

Diwali is usually well organised here, squiggle, as we have a big Hindu community here, this is just kids with fireworks with no adults bothering their bums
