Got fireworks going off here, Kia is shaking again , poor thing . The vet says not to do anything, but how can you not?  She is hiding in the bathroom , i do wish these damn things would be banned 

Awful when those loud fireworks go off and frighten the animals.  We don't seem to get them down here so much but when we lived in Greater London it sounded like a war zone, terrify the life out of anyone let alone an animal who doesn't understand what's going on.

Aww Skylark, those blooming fireworks really upset so many animals.

I remember my nana's old border collie was terrified. He used to shake and whimper and try to climb up onto my nana's knee.

Good morning everyone

 

As expected it's wet out there and will be like that for much of the day. The client I visited earlier this week out in the middle of nowhere will appreciate this as there they've had hardly any rain this year and the ground is rock hard. Some of his work involves agricultural fencing and it's hard work driving the stakes into the ground.

 

I'm no fan of fireworks either because they terrify animals and birds. The fireworks yesterday would almost certainly be Hindus celebrating Diwali (the festival of lights) which varies from year to year but this year was yesterday.

There's no problem with dry, hard ground up here. There has been so much rain recently, that my back garden is beginning to resemble a swamp.

It is yogi, very suitable for Halloween It's cold though, I can feel the chill on my scalp! Time to find a hat What's your plans today? I'm at work but have only a short bit of my book left, I may be able to get it finished!

I'm going to do the weekly grocery shopping and take some stuff to the tip.
