Happy watching Joyron x
Having a quiet night , chilling out , see you all tomorrow
I've never even seen HD Joyron so I would be interested to see what difference you notice, happy watching.
Have a good evening Skylark , relax and take it easy. Catch up tomorrow.
Skylark, I hope you like that Kit Kat - it's a very healthy one as it contains 0 calories, 0 grams of saturated fat and 0 grams of sugar
Joyron, I hope you are happy with the results of your Sky HD+
I have an announcement to make. After due consideration and taking all things into account, I think that I can say without any question or doubt in my mind that it's raining and windy out there.

Nope I call for a second opinion
Enjoy your new Sky box, Joyron.
El, are you sure there are 0 calories in that Kit Kat?
If so, I'm off to order a few dozen.

I can furnish you with that second opinion - it is most definitely raining and windy out there.
Summer, my hair is quite short but it still gets windswept in this weather.
Yes, there have been rumours of snow later on in the month.
Keira will be happy if it does happen, she loves playing in the snow.
It will be easier to housetrain the puppy in the better weather.
I have vivid memories of standing outside in the cold, encouraging Keira to "go hurry up" (our command for going to the toilet) and then fussing over her, saying "What a clever girl!" when she did it.
I have started to think about it but I haven't bought anything yet.
We had some great pics of Keira in the snow when she was a pup. But the pics were on my son's phone, which was stolen when our villa was robbed when we were on holiday in Lanzarote.

Yogi that reminded me of 'Marley And Me' have you ever read the book (its much better than the film)?
I have to concede the point its blowing a gale here and rain due any minute now.
Well I'm off to tuck myself up and read, night all, hugs and kisses for the night owls
I haven't read Marley And Me but my mum loved the film.
Goodnight Squiggle, see you tomorrow.
Summer, Keira was so easy to housetrain, she was a very fast learner.
The important thing is to read when they need "to go". They usually start sniffing and circling, so you can grab them quickly and rush them outside. Give them the command (it can be anything you want as long as you always use the same words) and then fuss over them when they get it right. After they have eaten, it's a good idea to let them out - they usually need to go then, too.
Harvey was very good too, he was another fast learner.
Listen to me going on, the Barbara Woodhouse of the forum.
The robbery was horrible. They were obviously watching the villa and waited until we had all gone out for dinner. They actually pulled the safe off the wall and got money, travellers cheques, passports etc. We had a good rep, who helped with all the police stuff etc.
Luckily, next day a lady out walking her dog, found the safe which still had our tickets, passports and travellers cheques. The only things they took were the mobile phones and cash. Our insurance paid out and the rest off the holiday was fine, but we lost the photos on the phones.
If you think I can be of any help when you get your puppy, you can ask anything you like.
Sweet dreams Summer and thank you for the hot chocolate.
It did put a bit of a dampner for a wee while but we were determined we wouldn't let it ruin the holiday.
night yogi
Goodnight everyone, see you tomorrow. Goodnight Ros.
Hugs for night owls.
Nite girls
Good morning everyone
Yogi, the Kit Kats I posted here were special cloud ones and you may find it hard to find in shops.
I'm glad that you didn't let that robbery ruin your holiday.
After last night's wind and rain, it is now sunny, but noticeably cooler than recently.
Good morning everyone, its a bit showery here. Got the dentist later, it was just a check up but a filling fell out last night oh well I suppose the timing is good.
Awful to hear about the robbery Yogi, that must have shaken you all up and well done on not letting it ruin your holiday. Losing the pics is awful though, irreplaceable. Do get the book with this link you can 'look inside' http://www.amazon.co.uk/Marley...318924819&sr=1-1
Squiggle, I hope all goes well at the dentist - a pity about the filling, but at least you can get it dealt more rapidly than if you hadn't already got an appointment.
Good morning everyone. It is still windy with heavy rain, up here.
Squiggle, I will get the book, thank you. Good luck at the dentist and I hope they fix your filling.
Cloud Kit Kats may be the way to go, El.
Hubby is picking up his new car this morning and then we are going out for lunch with eldest son and DiL, but I will be back later on.
Morning xxx
Good luck squiggle x
No calorie Kitkats , they will sell well
In a bit of a rush , meeting a couple of girls in town and running a bit late
Its freezing cold here, had to change what i was wearing.
Have a good day Yogi x
and everyone else xx
Good afternoon everyone. It's another bright day here but bitterly cold. Hope you got on okay at the dentist Squiggle. I've got my six month check up appointment tomorrow morning.
New Sky box seems to be working okay. I've not watched anything in HD as yet but No.1 son assures me there is not a lot of difference (in his opinion). I really only went for the HD box because it has three times the recording capacity of the original box!
No.2 son is coming this evening to stay for a few days so I may not be about that much, but will catch up with you all when I can.
Joyron, I hope you have a good time with your visitor
I think that HD is only really noticeable on bigger TV screens. I have a 27 inch TV which is fine for me, but although it is capable of HD, it's unlikely that I would notice much difference. And then, there is one's eyesight. People with 20 20 vision would see the benefit more than people with poorer vision.
Although it's colder here than it has been, the wind is lighter than yesterday, and as it's sunny, it's quite pleasant out. But I think tomorrow may be colder and wetter here.
Hi everyone there is certainly a cold wind about. The dentist has put a temporary filling in and I have to go back in 3 weeks. He is a new dentist to me as my previous one is on maternity leave. Its the furthest back tooth on the bottom and its living a bit on borrowed time as the inner wall broke away a couple of years back, he is just testing, if the temporary filling stays in he will fill it permanently and try to get a few more years out of it.
Squiggle, let's hope your locum is able to give you a permanent filling. . One of my upper molars has been dead for some years. My dentist advised me to use mouthwash on a regular basis to keep it in as good condition as possible, though one day she may decide that it has to come out. I use Boots Sensitive mouthwash, not because my teeth are sensitive, but because it is alcohol free. There is some evidence, though not proven, that regular long term use of mouthwash containing alcohol can increase the risk of mouth cancer. The NHS said in January 2009 that although the tests to date were not robust enough and that more research is needed.
Yogi, you might want to read page 51 of the Radio Times published today for next week. The regular columnist has savaged what has been done to Autumnwatch and says that Michaela Strachan makes Kate Humble look like Gertrude Stein (who was a heavyweight American writer and art collector).
