Evening Joyron I hope you're having a lovely evening Yogi I'm glad mr yogi has found the car he wants, I hope he picks a good name for it & has a jolly good time driving it Skylark, I've used eBay many times, although not for a year or 2 now.. Yogi is right in her description though, register an account and spend a little time exploring the site. There are tutorials and FAQ sections. Quite often they send e mails telling you of a weekend where the seller fee is waived, these are handy if you have several items to sell I once did my entire Christmas shopping on eBay, it was brilliant! Squiggle, I hope you go to bed happy tonight, knowing that your book is well received and much admired sweet dreams in here, sleep weEl

Good morning everyone

Although I have never named cars that I've had, my mother did name my first car Baby. My vicar at the time also named the car - has just based it on the reg plate and called it GALJ .

If I were to name my current car, as the plate starts with BK, for some strange reason the name Beaky comes to mind

For those of you who like Cary Grant and Doris Day, That Touch of Mink is on Channel 4 today starting at 5 pm.

El Loro

Good morning everyone.    Quite bright and reasonally warm this morning, although still windy.

Hubby did get home in time to take me out for our anniversary meal last light, although we went out in such a hurry I didn't have time to come here to tell you all.  Had a nice meal and couldn't wait to get to my bed when we got back.

Off to the shops this morning.  Be back later.

Joyron

Good morning everyone. We have some blue sky and sunshine, atm.

El, I was also going to mention A Touch Of Mink was on today. I love Doris Day and Cary Grant.

Joyron, I am pleased you managed to have your meal last night, 41 years together is worth celebrating.

Squiggle, A Summer Fling arrived this morning. I'll start it as soon as I've finished my current book.

Summer, Mr Yogi says he'll name his car (just for you) and is thinking of calling it Victor the Vauxhall - Vic for short.

Yogi19
Good morning all Overcast but dry here I think Beaky & Victor are both great names for cars I've always named mine, my current one is called Jasper, I love him and mr summer's car is called Betty, I occasionally drive her too Oh I'll still be at work at 5pm but if I get home in time I can look for the film on the +1 channel Joyron I'm pleased you went for a meal & enjoyed it last night I hope mr summer & I get to 41 years too

Once you are registered, click on the drop down menu from SELL. There is an option to browse categories, which will help you decide which section to display your items in, eg, pottery and glass. You can opt to put a reserve on your item or just auction it, and you can upload a photo of the item, too.

He says to remember there is a seller's fee, but the site will tell you how much it will be.

Mr Yogi says, if he can do it, so can you.

Thanks and thanks to Mr Yogi x I registered this morning, will get my daughter to photograph stuff and get it on x

Signing off now, night night all, catch up tomorrow.

I laughed at that

Mr Yogi bought me some sweetie, foamy bananas, which I love. I gave one to Keira and she loved it. When I sat on the sofa, I put a banana beside me and told Keira to leave it. Normally she is very good at obeying the "leave" command. However, this time, she took one look at me, another look at the banana - and stole it! My dog is a foamy banana thief.

Yogi, it must have been too much for her! Never had those for yonks, guess what i will looking for tomorrow
My dog , Kia , came thru last night 3 times, looking at me, then going back to the living room. I got up to see what she wanted. Her blanket that she wraps herself up in had fallen on the floor and wanted to me to fix it ! What are they like?

She was doing doggy telepathy on you. I bet you went and fixed it for her, didn't you?

Do you do what hubby does when Keira keeps looking at him, he says to her, "What is it Keira, tell me what you want?".

Good evening everyone.    After doing the shopping I've had yet another lazy day.  Seems like that's all I want to do at the moment!!  Finished off the book I started yesterday and have started on another one now.

Just waiting for hubby to ring and say what time he will be home for tea.  Probably won't be back again tonight but will catch up with you all again tomorrow.  Have a good evening, whatever you are doing.

Just added to the shopping list............diet going well

Twiglets are the work of the devil - they are evil incarnate. They must be as I don't like them

I've just returned from a client and witnessed Harry being force fed with his cooked tea followed by rice pudding and fresh fruit pieces. It got to the point where they had to stop as he was refusing to eat any more and was throwing the food on the floor.

Right i am going to have a moan!
I received 10 Christmas cards today in the post from an animal charity (havent heard of them before). Lovely cards, and 3 are of a lovely dog, much like Keira, actually. My point is that i didnt ask for them, i dont want to use them as i havent paid for them. If i send them back it will cost me postage and makes me look like uncaring so and so. If i pay for them, its because i feel like i am forced to do so, and i like to decide myself which charities i give to, in one form or another.
I understand that this may be a way of promoting the charity, if they cannot pay for expensive advertising , but it isnt quite right, or is it?

It's not. It's similar to when charities send unsolicited raffle tickets to people expecting them to sell them on - my mother got sent them a few times and just threw them away.

No it isn't right, Skylark. I hate this sort of thing.

I would mark the envelope "Return to sender" and pop them back in the post.
