Aww that's lovely I would have loved to have seen that

What's that all about? Fireman Sam should be in a fire engine.

Dont talk on the phone and post !
Although doing it with one hand, must be congratulated

What does he need a helicopter for? Is he now delivering mail to the Outer Hebrides?

for the one-handed posting.

You must learn the art of declining invitations - I am completely useless at it, I can never think of a decent excuse.

That reminds me of an episode of "As Time Goes By" where Jean and Lionel kept accepting invitations from a "gang" of Hooray Henry types, because they didn't want to be rude and say NO.

Thanks for asking, sorry to say not really.  Various things but I had to take my eldest grandson back to the dentist again.  She sounds lovely, she said to him I will do my best to fix your teeth, its very lucky that you don't have to pay at the moment because it would cost a fortune.  She said I will do the best job I can but after that its up to you if you look after your teeth they will be OK but if you let them go then all my work will be wasted.  She drilled a hole in his front tooth to let out the muck and then in a month's time he goes back and she is going to refer him to oral surgery to deal with the back abscess.

I'm off to read now, hugs for everyone (including the night owls) its been a tiring day.

I was actually a bit miffed Summer, when we were, or shall i say she was, talking about birthdays, and i said about my son being 18 in January. She said oh that was was her niece,s 18th too. Which i know because we had our babies at the same time, but mine was in the neo natal unit as he was premature. She went on about her having a limo etc, which is lovely of course, but never asked if mine was having a party. I know that may sound a bit childish on my part, but i did feel a bit put out, that if we did do a party for my son...he isnt sure what he wants yet...that they werent even considering coming. Plus i am not entirely sure , that if you know your sister is coming up 60, you dont just arrange a party at such short notice. We may be invited to just keep the numbers up !  Not being horrible, hope you get where i am coming from xx

Squiggle, I'm sorry that I missed this post last night.

Your poor grandson, having to put up with her as well as the pain of abscesses. Give him a hug from me.

Did she give him any antibiotics and painkillers for the abscess problem?
