I think Ben is great, he makes me chuckle and is good value as a housemate to watch....BUT....if he wants his time in there to become a little easier he is just going to have to get up off his backside and take part at some point, and stop being so apathetic to the tasks...I totally understand his personal views on teamwork, and how your different relationships to each member of the team affect your willingness to perform etc, but if he likes it or not he IS part of the BB housemate team and sometimes he has to put his feelings or convaluted viewpoint aside and just get it done for the sake of everyone else.

Yes it was just the same with Freddie last year - I was a fan of his as well.  I have just started a thread about the Fauntelroy/Raffles thing too - I wish Ben would shout back at them 'my name is BEN u effers'

Ikatali I am sorry to have to say I disagree with you.  Ben takes the view that he will not compromise his 'take' on things over a game show.  I say he has the right to take that view whether the 'team' like it or not.  He IS taking the consequences and he will not change.  He will walk rather than 'toe the party line'.  I admire him for that.  We have moaned on this forum and the C4 one for many years about the wannabees, which is all we seem to get nowadays.  Ben is not a wannabee.

I see what you're saying Squiggle, and fair play to him for not bending....but I suppose the downside of him not bending is getting moaned at (dont get me wrong, I dont think for one minute he deserves everything that's thrown at him, he's seen as somewhat of an easy target in there I feel because he HAS been so open about what he will and wont do) is that he'll have to cop some grief now and then because of it.

Joyron, seriously, if you do log back on be very cautious.  You know how this place can kick off and there are certain FM's who are feeling, shall we say, a tad aggressive.

Good morning everyone.  Squiggle, I'm glad I took your advice last night.  I notice you picked up some flak for that comment!!  If others feel they won't like what they read in our fan thread then surely it would be better if they don't read it.  I know this is a public forum and FMs can read and post wherever they like but surely it's better to avoid such threads if they are going to annoy you.  I know that's what I do now.

I've not seen the new HM details yet.  I sincerely hope Ben does not get involved in another "Bea" situation.  Let's hope that things will be a little easier for him (if only for a while) once the new HMs enter the house.

No worries Joyron its water off a duck's back to me   It takes all sorts to make a world and although I find that most of the ones who pop in here like to make mostly positive comments some prefer to have a pop.  That's OK its a forum.  I am a leetle worried about one of the new HM's only the fact that she's blonde, a bit of a man eater and the same age as Ben.  Its just me being nervous after Bea last year, take no notice.  Hope you enjoy today, especially if Ben starts talking politics later
